Rap is MATURING as a genre, thanks to Eminem. What other 50 year old rapper is breaking records and is still relevant? It’s never happened. Jay and Nas ain’t doing shit worth in terms of sales and views. Raps has been a young man’s game, but why? Every other genre that’s established has stars well past the ‘“prime” of life. Eminem is normalizing it for rap. You’ll see the effects all of this in the next classes.
