    there have been like 12 different statements in all. They keep getting deleted. It’s odd. They keep deleting comments from people on their page as well.

    There’s a lot more going on here than just ITT. 

     

    Being an at-will state they can be fired and not much they can do.


    Till the owner couldn't keep his story straight. With the conflicting stories put out, they is legal room for them to go after them. It's why companies normally don't comment on the WHY of someone being fired, because they will often get in more trouble from that.

     

    At will doesn't help against discrimination lawsuits, in which case they outright said because it was a black woman they denied and the employees were white is the reasoning for their firing, because optics are important. 

    They kind of set themselves up for this shit. Hence why now the story is changing.

    He could walk in on any day, and say "I don't need you" and fire them on the spot, and hire two different people on that same day.

    Except he flat out said it was due to them

    being white and the customer being black.

    The employer saying that making a black person not feel bad can be associated with a POLITICAL, CULTURAL ideology.............and the employees have to abide by their employer.

    PORTLAND, Ore. — Two employees of a bakery in Portland, Oregon were fired earlier this month for denying a black woman service because the business had closed.

    The bakery's statement says that even though it does not consider the employees to be racist and that they were following the business's protocol of closing at 9 p.m., they were fired because "sometimes impact outweighs intent." The bakery also says in the statement that the way the employees went about denying the woman service, "lacked sensitivity and understanding of the racial implications at work."

     

     In one statement, "Back To Eden Bakery" says that according to its own surveillance video, a black woman named "Lillian", who is well known in the area as a "professional equity activist", entered at 9:06 p.m., after the bakery's closing time. Employees had also turned off the "Open" sign, but several customers (all white) who had already ordered were still inside. Two other white women who went to the bakery two minutes before "Lillian", and were also informed that the business was closed for the night.

     In one statement, the bakery admitted that the employees did not necessarily do anything wrong, "this is more about how a black woman was made to feel" at the business.

     

     

    Oh boy..this should be fun. That company is getting sued to hell. Of course the lady made a huge obnoxious deal about it, but even she's since deleted her FB video. (Probably due to being embarrassed..but who knows )
