It doesn't matter if it has happened before... lmao. I love how you insinuate that if it's happened once, that means it can/should always happen.
Life doesn't work that way... and your argument is worth less than the paper your coupons are printed on.

Not one person in this thread agrees with you. How’s that feel?

Well I don't see where the conflicting story is, unless I'm missing another quote from the owner.
But it would be odd that the owner is making things much more complicated for himself than he needs to be in order to fire these employees.
there have been like 12 different statements in all. They keep getting deleted. It’s odd. They keep deleting comments from people on their page as well.

Then that means that SOMETHING ELSE happened in that interaction that they determined it to be negative.
And we don't know what it is.
There’s a lot more going on here than just ITT.
Being an at-will state they can be fired and not much they can do.
Till the owner couldn't keep his story straight. With the conflicting stories put out, they is legal room for them to go after them. It's why companies normally don't comment on the WHY of someone being fired, because they will often get in more trouble from that.At will doesn't help against discrimination lawsuits, in which case they outright said because it was a black woman they denied and the employees were white is the reasoning for their firing, because optics are important.
They kind of set themselves up for this shit. Hence why now the story is changing. -

It is interesting because the guy doesn't need any reason to fire the white employees in an "at will" state. Which is what Oregon is.
He could walk in on any day, and say "I don't need you" and fire them on the spot, and hire two different people on that same day.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm……….seems like you and Ghost constructed a narrative that doesn't hold up to the slightest bit of logical scrutiny.
Except he flat out said it was due to them
being white and the customer being black.

If they tell you they are closed.. then they are closed. That's it.
WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE YOU'VE NEVER GONE TO A STORE AT CLOSING TIME AND BEEN DENIED
I read in an article most of their staff is “women of color” or “minorities”

A burden to get fired over following your employers protocols? Yeah I'd say that's a hardship. Getting fired is incredibly stressful. We don't know if these people were supporting children and what not. Please tell me you don't think they should have lost their jobs over this.
Stop changing the subject

hell of a burden for white people.
why, its such an awful burden, they'd probably TRADE THEIR BURDENS with black people's, amirite?
Yeah, that's what i thought.
Would you have gone one step further and not only fired them but killed their family too?

And it has nothing to do with the employer's race, either.
The employer saying that making a black person not feel bad can be associated with a POLITICAL, CULTURAL ideology.............and the employees have to abide by their employer.
Wow. 0-2. Lol. Who said it had anything to do with the employers race?
*remembers to ignore the clueless Jerry again

If they were black would they had been fired?

Nope there is no discrimination here.
Please list the type of discrimination occurring here. Remember....YOU YOURSELF have said that political affiliation and belief, in either direction.........is NOT PROTECTED.
This isn’t political. Lol and that’s my daily reminder to not bother responding to you.

So the employees were fired because of their race?
Yes.

Oh? Which of the protected classes is the basis for the discrimination?
Racial. Any half assed lawyer could make an easy case ass out of this.

Nope.
Employers can fire you without cause, especially in a Right To Work state.
You should know this, more than anybody.
They can't fire you by discrimination, which this is.

Also - What the fuck is this?!
The bakery has also volunteered to participate in Portland's second "Reparations Happy Hour", a black-only event in which whites donate money, and the hosting business hands out $10 bills to all "black, brown, and minority ethnicities" who walk into the business.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Two employees of a bakery in Portland, Oregon were fired earlier this month for denying a black woman service because the business had closed.
The bakery's statement says that even though it does not consider the employees to be racist and that they were following the business's protocol of closing at 9 p.m., they were fired because "sometimes impact outweighs intent." The bakery also says in the statement that the way the employees went about denying the woman service, "lacked sensitivity and understanding of the racial implications at work."In one statement, "Back To Eden Bakery" says that according to its own surveillance video, a black woman named "Lillian", who is well known in the area as a "professional equity activist", entered at 9:06 p.m., after the bakery's closing time. Employees had also turned off the "Open" sign, but several customers (all white) who had already ordered were still inside. Two other white women who went to the bakery two minutes before "Lillian", and were also informed that the business was closed for the night.
In one statement, the bakery admitted that the employees did not necessarily do anything wrong, "this is more about how a black woman was made to feel" at the business.Oh boy..this should be fun. That company is getting sued to hell. Of course the lady made a huge obnoxious deal about it, but even she's since deleted her FB video. (Probably due to being embarrassed..but who knows )
