  1. Yeah, I noticed this as well, but I thought this was because of the WD/Kioxia facility fire?
  2. Industry analyst, but obviously grains of salt and all. The SoC being ~360mm^2 makes more confident in a $499.99 price tag; any higher and it's DOA, IMO. I imagine GDDR6 and NAND will come down in price in a reasonable amount of time (assuming this coronavirus epidemic stabilizes).
  3. If ZhugeEx is right in his estimates between $460-520, then it's not so bad.
  4. There's already quite a bit of information available on PS5, most of which, is similar in functionality as what we're hearing about Xbox Series X today. It's just a matter of Sony confirming it all.
  5. Not all NVMe SSDs are equal. Being a "specs nerd" it's obvious you don't realize the difference in specification regarding PCIe 3.0 vs. PCIe 4.0. Sony has been generous in regards to storage for a very long time. That's why I'm not surprised in the least that Microsoft continues to fuck their customers.
  6. Yeah, what a stupid thought to think that you can run PS4 games off expanded storage.
  7. Who said anything about running a PS5 game off expanded storage? The onboard storage is most definitely going to have some allocation for just that unless the software is recognized as something other than a PS5 game. Are you done pretending like you know the minimum requirements for streaming data for next generation games?
  8. Who care if its under spec? There's still internal storage to ensure specifications are met. I'm thinking Sony could use M.2 m keyed SSDs for expansion... it's pretty much 100% that Sony's internal storage is going to be directly soldered onto the board. Did you think they were going to have a setup like PS4/Pro with a removable HDD or something?
  9. No shit. I was going to see if Microsoft would man up and use regular components, but like I said, it's Microsoft, so it was unlikely. Hopefully Sony uses normal M.2 M keys so people can use regular NVMe drives along with Sony's own storage solution which appears to be the similar in form/function.
  10. Welp, confirmed that the expansion NVMe SSD is a proprietary connector.
  11. I'll be interested to see what they do with The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
  12. Not sure, it is NVMe. It being Microsoft I doubt it'll be M/B keys, but I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.
  13. Damn, this dude nailed the Xbox Series X GPU CU count and clock speed two months ago. If this ends up being true it'll be the biggest "told ya so" at NeoGAF. He got banned for not providing information.
  14. I'll be hyped when they start showing off the games. Can't get hyped over Xbox specs because I guess its been a discussion for months now and most of the speculation lines up. Show. Me. The. Games. I want to see Microsoft come out swinging with their launch lineup and window.
