Sony turned a profit on PlayStation 3 in FY10.

Who's the verified insider?

It's been on my radar, but I think all the impressions got me sold on it.

Needs to be added to NSO emulator.

So do I. It seems like every year I get the itch to play Super Mario 64 again. Only other Mario game that comes close are the SMGs. Super Mario Bros. 2, 3 and World are also up there.

Still one of the best games of all time.

E3 is less than three weeks away, what are your predictions?

I think they will have another State of Play and that's about it. No way Sony will be talking about their next PlayStation console. -
Red Dead Redemption 2 (24 million sold + 1.09 patch)

That's EvilBoris's take on it. He's pretty happy with the results and basically says it's night and day difference. Of course he wants improvements in some areas, but looks like Rockstar nailed it. -

I guess Days Gone had little or no impact on hardware sales. God of War launching last April really helped move PlayStation 4 last year.

Yeah, a company with no clue despite having the biggest gaming network, a cloud game streaming service, an IPTV service and even operates a fiber-powered ISP in Japan. Yeah, Sony has no clue about networking or cloud based gaming. Microsoft probably courted them by personally providing blow jobs to each Sony executive in the amount of the difference between PlayStation 4 sales versus Xbox One sales.

It doesn't sound like it, but it does sound like Sony wants to expand outside of AWS. AWS's services have a limited reach and since Microsoft leases the most DC space out of the big cloud providers it makes the most sense to explore in that direction. I can't blame Sony for not going with Google, not because of Stadia, but because Google Cloud is a goddamn mess. No, there's nothing particularly special about an Azure server versus any other virtual machine in any other cloud service provider. A server is only good as its owner's application. The reality is Sony is pr

Microsoft teases next generation, shows off Project xCloud (it's disappointing) with a beta/release date, demos Halo Infinite and Gears 5. They'll have some "surprise" announcements. Sony obviously not being there, but spoils Microsoft's poor showing with The Last of Us 2 release date and new trailer. Nintendo reveals Switch Lite, announces Metroid Prime trilogy, introduces SNES/N64 for NSO, more Wii U ports and new games. -

Sony isn't going to be there. -

You first. -
I think it would be in both companies best interest for cross platform games. I completely forgot that Microsoft was releasing games like that.

I think it'll be completely different than when we went from PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4/Xbox One. The new generation of consoles will be backwards compatible this time around so I foresee quite a bit of larger third party games having those "next gen" enhancements before built-from-the-ground-up games show up the following year.

I'm hoping for this year, but it's definitely looking like Q4 to boost FY results.

New security flaw found in Intel CPU architecture
lynux3 replied to DynamiteCop's topic in System Wars
If you aren't itching to build one real soon I would hold off until we start seeing benchmarks with the Ryzen 3000 series. We should start seeing those benchmark within the next couple of months. Computex is right around the corner so a lot will be revealed there. -

Not really. Only thing Intel has is single threaded performance and that might disappear entirely when Zen 2 launches.
