Yeah, the game could use some of the extra power.

Great game. Wish they stuck around for a PS4 MotorStorm title.

GDC: most developers interested in making Switch games
lynux3 replied to Cooke's topic in System Wars
Old games that look/run worse than their counter parts 90% of the time (unless its PS3/360 port) and cost 50%+ more on release. Yawn. -
GDC: most developers interested in making Switch games

Who cares. This is the kind of trash that's being developed and released on Switch. These are the type of developers that are "interested" in Switch. -
GDC: most developers interested in making Switch games

Pretty much. Here are the results last year. Which platform(s) most interest you as a developer right now? PlayStation 4 / Pro 39% Nintendo Switch 36% Xbox One / X 28% Here is what developers said their last game released on this year. Which platform(s) was your *last completed* game released on? Xbox One / X 20% PlayStation 4 / Pro 24% Nintendo Switch 9% -

This isn't going to solve Switch's shovelware indie trash problem. AAA third party games are still going to be absent on the platform. -

Too bad being interested in a platform doesn't equate to actually releasing and actively developing games on it. Which platform(s) are you *currently developing* games for? Xbox One / X 28% PlayStation 4 / Pro 31% Nintendo Switch 18% Which platform(s) do you anticipate your *next* game will be released on? Xbox One / X 29% PlayStation 4 / Pro 32% Nintendo Switch 22% Which platform(s) was your *last completed* game released on? Xbox One / X 20% PlayStation 4 / Pro 24% Nintendo Switch 9% -
I guess that RuthenticCookie guy was right about the console versions being a mess, but wrong about EA delaying it.

See DynamiteCop... this is why I knew/know that PS5 wouldn't be using HBM
lynux3 replied to Remij's topic in System Wars
It's not happening and HBM is definitely not high volume. What are they using it in? Basically discontinued Vega 56 and Vega 64 GPUs? Radeon Instinct MI8 is EoS and replaced by cards with HBM2. Hades Canyon uses HBM2. It was rumored that AMD only produced like 5K Radeon VII's for launch and maybe more depending on demand. That's not high volume... at all. -

lynux3 replied to Remij's topic in System Wars
Who cares. HBM2 is just the evolution of HBM. Consoles aren't getting HBM, HBM2 or HBM3. No one is making HBM(1) memory anymore in a meaningful capacity. Consoles will be either GDDR5, GDDR5X or GDDR6. Those are high volume production memory solutions which means it's going to be cheap. Based on Navi's design, or at least what we know, it's going to be GDDR6. It's not a bad thing. -

This is just common sense. You'd have to be a fool to think any console manufacturer would be using HBM. Edit: Additionally, seeing that Sony has invested a lot into Navi already and that GPU supporting GDDR6 says it all. Vega never supported GDDR and never will.
