You're right. This is definitely Wii level of shovelware trash. Even Vita had more respectable indie games due to quality control. Nintendo just opens the floodgate for all of this trash to flow in.

That was already done though at the beginning of last year when they introduced the campaign. Now they're just dropping cars and a track here and there.

I didn't realize that Polyphony has two other studios making content for this game, and they're getting ready to add another. This is the game that keeps on giving.

Pretty much. I think 2019 is going to be a bad year for Switch, but then again I'm not sure what Nintendo's release schedule looks like because I haven't bothered to look.

I agree that the Switch is a lighter version of the Wii phenomenon. I don't think the console is as worthless as the Wii and Wii U so far. Nintendo has splurged in the console's first two years and no one really buys a Nintendo console for 3rd party support so it'll be interesting if Nintendo can keep up with the 1st party releases, but I doubt they will. There will no doubt be drought after drought.

I think I know where all of the Vita indie support went now that the platform is dead. Looking at the eShop there's literally nothing but a bunch of shovelware indie garbage, and then there's your Nintendo game few and far between with downgraded third party Bethesda games sprinkled here and there.

Can't argue with this. Switch getting almost nothing in terms of major third party support is a major blow. It's basically an indie console/handheld with Nintendo games.

PS Plus is about as good as anything else. If you're a digital guy the PS Plus discounts on the store are worth it alone.
