Oh yeah, I don't dispute that simply because it exists, and Console makers are pushing for it, that it becomes the norm. I mean look how long it took for us to go from Apple's iTunes, to Spotify becoming the leader in streaming music. I think iTunes launched in 2002, and was just recently shutdown. So streaming could be a while - a long while; before it becomes the norm. Much like how digital sales of games began in 2004'ish, but it still has a long way to go before people completely stop buying physical copies.

I've heard that @-GD- has an effective disposal method.

It's this kind of stuff, that I look at (combined with the fact that I've only touched Breath of the Wild) that makes me interested in the Switch. Plus the portable mode has me enticed as I'm moving around too much to just pack a PS4 and HDTV around...

I don't know how you guys can think streaming isn't going to be the future. It's where the majority of gamers will migrate to, once the service can be delivered. Regardless of how you feel about the service and its ability to deliver smooth gaming. You have to understand, gamers who discuss games, consoles & their values, as well as predictions for the next generation are the minority - and a very small minority. The majority of gamers are going to go where the industry funnels them like cattle. Sure, there will be still be a market that exists for physical copies,

The problem is JRPG's have never been my forte, and I picked up DQXI along with: DOOM, Farcry 5, Warhammer 2, Phantom Doctrine (80s spy game; plays like XCom), and Stellaris (which I've only installed but haven't actually played. I need more time. Can we petition someone for more hours in a day? Or three day weekends (lmao who am I kidding, that wouldn't apply to me) or something, anything?

Nah, too many games - far too many games; in my queue to give it shot. I was hoping it was going to be a solid open world game, but that's what Metro Exodus is for I suppose. And I just checked my stats for the original Rage; and I have 4 hours over the 4 years I've owned it. I've tried multiple times to get into the game, it has good enemies (when you find them) and solid gunplay (chambering different rounds for guns was a nice feature as well) but the world felt so devoid of immersion, that I could never get into it.
