  1. oh yeah, definitely not. but i'll be surprised if Diablo4 isn't on Steam by the end of the year. this is the one good thing we get from the Activision merger, so enjoy it Tim Sweeney
  2. Blizzard finally got some sense! Overwatch 2 is confirmed as the first Blizzard game coming to Steam. They haven't confirmed what games will be coming next, and Battle.net is not going away (yet???). Nevertheless, this is a great step forward for Blizzard and PC gaming. After many years of publisher portals ruining PC gaming, it seems like most have recognized that Steam IS PC gaming. https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/blizzard/23982127/overwatch-2-coming-to-steam-on-august-10 Overwatch 2 is now wishlistable: https://store.steampowered.com/app/235
  3. The exodus from Blizzard will be so massive. Diablo4 will be the last of the great mainline Blizzard franchises. There will be a Starcraft 3, but Relic will be brought in after 5 years to finish it. Meanwhile some new team of ex-Blizzard ppl will make the next great RTS.
  4. It really sucks these games never came to PC. Starhawk was a good game, but a little too complicated as a Warhawk sequel. It was ahead of the curve on the whole base building thing in a multiplayer shooter.
  5. It would be crazy to get 8 PS3s linked up on a lan doing Warhawk with 32 players. I fired it up recently and still loved it.
  6. Seems like this game can't miss, and it's a big step up for Larian. I wonder if they would ever consider doing a full blown first person action rpg as in Elder Scrolls, but with their simulation systems.
  7. PS3 has a deep lineup of all kinds of collectibles. I didn't realize Ascension was expensive. Ive got like 80 PS3 discs still.
  8. If I remember correctly Fight Club is a 1:1 fighting game with non-canon alternate endings for the characters.
  9. It's actually Windows users who did that. Too bad there aren't enough Lemmings to keep this dogshit console on its feet.
  10. The demo was nice. The first time you do the photo thing it's mind-blowing.
  11. Lemmings have gotten real used to bragging about games that aren't exclusive.
  12. Call of Duty is not eternal. MS will fumble it. The whole concept of "modern warfare" needs a re-think.
  13. Big and bulky are the same criticism. All PC handhelds are "bulky". Steam Deck is extremely comfortable with high quality inputs, by all accounts superior to Ally. I genuinely hope your Ally doesn't burn your house down.
  14. Ally seems more busted that early reviews said. Valve engineering holds up.
  15. I really like that spread of hardware. It seems like this is gonna be well optimized.
  16. Understandable move for Wells. I never heard him put forward as a creative since Uncharted 1. The restructuring looks bad for any multiplayer projects that might've been in development. Not a restructuring that indicates a service game emphasis.
  17. Diablo4 came out good. CoD is well made and popular even if it's pretty stale at this point. These are franchises I'll prob still play on PC. If they don't go to shit under Microsoft management. So far their record is shockingly bad.
  18. Those aren't the goats, but those and a lot of games better than 50 Cent Blood in the Sand are still locked away on the Cell processor. The goats still exclusive are MGS4, Dark Souls (tho the PS5 version is great), Infamous 1&2, and Killzone 2&3.
  19. I guess "essential" is a made-up idea, but here's some factors for scoring: - it's still better to play natively than via emulation - there are goat games you can only play, or best play on the system - there are a lot of games you can't play anywhere else PS3 is absolutely still an essential console, and it's not even close. For systems like SNES, PS2, Dreamcast, emulators are really good, but lots of people would still rather play native versions. With PS3, actually playable emulation is still in the early phases. Major trilogies (!!!) like Resistance and Motorstor
  20. I still like the 360 version of Oblivion for having full controller support. The PC version is very KB+M and the menus aren't easy to map with Steam Input. Same deal with Morrowind on OG Xbox. Looking back on some of these 360-exclusive lists, it's barely an essential console anymore. Gears of War 2 is the only one I'd go back to. Maybe Project Gotham 3.
  21. It doesn't seem roguelike at all. if you die, it just reloads the last save.
  22. This game is 100% up my alley, but I'm currently playing Dredge which seems pretty similar. I love these games like Cult of the Lamb that are 50/50 management sim and and action gameplay.
