  1. Cows out here who bought GTA5 on 3 Playstations talking about inferior versions.
  2. Mother fucker you can't even play games you bought in the PS3 era.
  3. If you buy a game for Steam Deck, you bought the best version of the game.
  4. If anything I give Switch's "technical prowess" too much credit. Like Remi said, gaming on Deck is the same as the PC version of the game. I agree with you that PS5/Desktop looks better and the dual shock is a better controller (it works with the Deck btw ). But games on Deck look GOOD, and the controller is GOOD. Deck being portable and quick to suspend/resume makes it stickier than the higher fidelity options, which is why I haven't been playing PS5 as much. And I'm not a hypocrite about this. I have a PC good enough to play these SAME games close to their best. The f
  5. Switch is probably the best Nintendo platform since N64, and they still couldn't resist some dumb shit like this.
  6. I haven't even touched my PS5 since my Deck arrived. It's still crazy what Valve has pulled off, and the system software is getting updated at a rapid pace. Nintendo can keep making simple handhelds for kids, but I don't know how they will sell to adults going forward. More handheld gaming PCs are coming, and they make dedicated, bespoke Nintendo handhelds completely redundant.
  7. Stuff like this really convinces me that VR is not going to flop like 3d displays did. It might take several more hardware breakthroughs to reach the mainstream, but experiencing richly detailed simulations like this in first person is obviously the next big frontier for gaming.
  8. And your reward for success is you get to remake the same shit forever.
  9. Thinking about getting it for the Deck. Girthsman recommended it.
  10. It's gonna be weird if basically no big budget AAA can actually use the RT hardware in next gen consoles. We could be in a situation where those units are mainly used for realistic sound simulations rather than rays of light.
  11. I didn't get far enough to recommend it, but Ozark has surprisingly good production for an indie game. It's a 3rd person shooter from a mostly 2.5d perspective. Aiming is a little wonky and enemy AI is really shit, but I still kinda liked the first 15 minutes.
  12. I'm glad this game is finally on Steam and Deck verified, but get fucked if you think I'm paying $50 when I got the PS4 version a year ago for $10. Any publisher coming to Steam after 6+ months EGS exclusive should assume I already pirated their shit and price it for a sympathy buy. How do we know they won't do the exact same shit for the sequel?
  13. I think it's very unlikely we'll ever see another AAA Resistance game, especially from Insomniac. Mostly the same with Killzone, but at least Shadowfall had its time to shine as a PS4 launch. I don't think people are clamoring for a continuation of these stories. With Socom at least no one cares about the story. The sad thing is its sendoff was shit on PS3. The AA Slant Six game Socom Confrontation was pretty well received, but then the Zipper mainline Socom 4 was garbage enough to kill the franchise. I think we need a whole new thing which is designed to push the PS5 h
  14. Destiny 3 ain't it tho. It's colorful sci-fi guns, it's T-for-Teen, and it's MMORPG loot questing. A big audience wants AR-15s, realistic scopes, bloody corpses, 20 minute online matches, and 2-hit deaths.
  15. I think Jade Raymond / Haven's game is what I most want to see from Playstation Studios. A lot of other projects are either known (God of War) or probably far out (New Bend IP). Raymond was working with a new team at Stadia for over a year. I'm just guessing that Sony is buying whatever they had in progress and maybe there's something to show. Also with MS buying Activision, it's pretty urgent that Sony own a realistic, present-day online shooter. They've been out of that category since closing Zipper, but if they don't have an answer for Call of Duty going exclusive t
  16. Midnight Fight Express is pretty dope. Good 3d brawler with a mix of Arkham and Double Dragon combat. The production is fun mix of amateur (lead character model is lol) and impressive (good gamepad support, RPG upgrades). The demo is 3/40 levels, which id definitely check out. I'm a sucker for isometric 3d action.
  17. We're *winning*, rely has nothing to do with it.
  18. And it's totally wrong. Every game outlet touts Game Pass as the must-have thing in gaming.
  19. I still believe in this game, but nothing they're showing demonstrates Bethesda's secret weapon: twisted humor.
  20. I wonder if there's ever going to be a game with the designs from KP branding.
  21. I played the Metal: Hellsinger demo. It's 70% Doom 2016, 30% Guitar Hero. The rhythmic strategy is pretty fun, and the visuals are really nice, I'm surprised it is Unity engine. Not sure if there's multiplayer, but you could have coop with different players timing their shots to different instruments. Runs ok on Deck, I had an issue with suspend/resume tho. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1061910/Metal_Hellsinger/
  22. Wtf... I'm confused by the idea *from a journalist* that sourcing a sex criminal/predator is an unacceptable thing to do. If the facts are accurate, what is the issue?
