  1. Rift Apart should come to PC also. It's clearly in the top 5 most stunning games that exist right now.
  2. It's a joke we only got a single piece of concept art, but I am legitimately very hyped about the multiplayer game. Just to get back into that sick 3rd person stealth action.
  3. This has been an landmark thread for Jerry, openly praising Playstation as the pinnacle of gaming, and then getting extremely defensive about PS games coming to PC. I never thought I'd see the day!
  4. There have been some good looking first person games here. Fort Solis I took note of. There's some gothic Doom-like FPS, but it's EGS 🤢
  5. But PC has the shit pile Epic Games Store to deal with.
  6. This is true Capcom's tech is underrated. But still no match for God of War.
  7. I think the idea is that newbies will check out the games because they liked the show. So it would be better if the first game didn't show its age. It's an aggressive move considering the PS4 version is still good, but this HBO show could be phenomenal. The 7/10 Netflix adaptation of The Witcher drove a lot of people to play Witcher 3.
  8. It looks ok but I don't care about anime. Not sure if this Cyberpunk franchise is ever going to happen for real.
  9. I'm not mad at this, at all. But I wonder if #1: the gameplay will be updated to feel like Part 2 (which is God status), and #2 if Part 1 designed for next gen will now look a bit better than Part 2. Seems like the ideal case would be a PS5/PC collectors edition with both games at the same quality level. The Last of Us (1&2) is still the pinacle of AAA gaming imo. It's a lineage with Bioshock and Half Life.
  10. Between Steam Deck and desktop hardware upgrades, I've been trying out a lot of different PC games lately. The situation is weird where many AAA games pushing hardware to its limit don't actually look the best. Cyberpunk is the biggest offender here with it's super uneven, grainy presentation. Others like Outer Worlds and Control look nice but struggle to maintain a solid 60+ framerate, even with settings turned way down. On the other hand all of Playstation Studios games are hitting a sweet spot with beautiful graphics and consistent performance. They stand out as some of the best
  11. More credible sources than this say you're gonna be disappointed
  12. Wild that Windwaker is 20 years old, and probably the last classic.
  13. to be fair, it's a better zelda game than most recent zelda games.
  14. I'm really interested to see if UE5 can scale down to the Deck. Gonna try compiling demos this week.
  15. It gives me no pleasure to report: this looks like shit
  16. The power on tap for 800p is pretty fucking insane. I'm blown away by fidelity of Outer Worlds and God of War. The TV experience still needs some work. Resolution detection and UI scaling are the most neglected aspect of the Deck experience right now. You can see some downright broken shit connecting to a 4k TV. I'm hoping FSR2 can help overcome more of the low res artifacting
  17. It kinda sucks when you think all kinds of devices could be equipped for 5g, but the cell carriers continue this bullshit model where the service follows the sim card. Shit could be a lot cooler than it is, fight for socialism.
  18. The proton tech is kind of a miracle I haven't run into a single player game on Steam that didn't work. Installing and running pirated games is a bit of a hassle if you don't understand Linux (tho this will likely improve with community tools). The main obstacles are anticheat (Destiny... Lost Ark...), and non-Steam launchers. There's not much pressure on Actiblizzard to get Warzone or the new Diablo on here and that sucks.
  19. Once SteamOS is officially released I might actually be done with consoles for good. PlayStation getting to day and date releases could seal the deal. No more bs multiplayer subscriptions, total freedom for controllers, tv/desktop/handheld/VR with one purchase, one unified game library forever... Sony is actually doing more than Epic to make it happen.
  20. What a baby. I love Sony games enough to buy them twice. PlayStation games on PC only strengthens us.
  21. I been playing it on Steam Deck. It's fucking sick. Most similar to Death's Door, but a little more Zelda-y and less souls-y.
  22. Damn very exciting. Glad it's coming to Steam as well. More next gen games plz.
