I finished Devs last night. It definitely was really well written sci-fi with some beautiful shots. I definitely think it’s very similar in themes and philosophy to Westworld season 3 and does it more successfully. It’s definitely a slow burn show, but you’ll probably just want to finish it one go since most episodes average around 45 minutes over 8 episodes. If you’re a fan of Alex Garland, you should watch it. He wrote and directed the entire 8 episode run.

My only critique of Devs is the performances. They’re definitely a mixed bag, and I think a stronger cast could’ve brought up a really well written script.

Just looked at his filmography and he did the screenplay for Dredd as well. Dude is quality.

What We Do In The Shadows is so fucking great. One of the best comedies on tv right now. First two seasons on Hulu with the second season currently airing. It’s a mockumentary type show about vampires living in Staten Island. Based on the movie of the same name from Taika Watiti and Jermaine Clement. Can’t recommend it enough.
