  1. Case with the bloody car; awesome or fucking awesome?
  2. Well look at it this way, you've got Costume Quest on Wednesday. You do have Costume Quest on Wednesday, right?
  3. It's the best game I've played this year, easily. Most badass ending this gen Spoiler Agreed, but the ending was amazing for more than just the badassery. The character development through most of the game, and especially the missions with John and his family, developed an attachment to John and I actually wanted to kill Agent Ross in the game because of what he did. You spend most of the game chasing Bill and when you finally kill him I just didn't care, I put a bullet in his head and moved on to the next mission. When I found Agent Ross at the river I didn't even bother trying to disa

  5. Finished Red Dead Redemption. I'll probably write a longer opinion about it once I get bored of running around finishing up the challenges and other side stuff, but man, what an ending to an absolutely fantastic game.
  6. Finished King's Bounty: Armored Princess. I had never played a King's Bounty or Heroes of Might and Magic game before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had assumed going in, based on the screen shots of combat that I saw, that it wouldn't be too much of a change in what I was use to, but the small islands and introverted design of quests on these islands is such a charming and fresh way to play a game, even if the formula is rather old. The bosses were really hard, it's rather unfortunate that I found stacking units with the 'Can't be counter-attacked' attribute to be insanely successful
  7. Best Story ^ I doubt we've played enough games for that to be credible.
  8. It probably won't get much support from the community, we're just fans of the medium rather than professionals so we probably haven't played every game worth playing and while we've probably got a pretty good grasp on the GOTY games, since they tend to be pretty popular on the forum, we get into some shaky territory when we start getting niche. Perhaps a SW vote on these topics and some write ups from people interested to accompany the winners. I'm game for whatever.
  9. Pretty sure we were waiting for you to say something.
  10. Well what did you want to do, LP and Alphonse? The point I was trying to get at earlier was that we should let people do what they want, if our front page becomes a vessel for people to give off some creativity and have fun doing it then the content will likely come. That's not a free ticket for anarchy but I mean if you were interested in that comic idea LP, I think it would be a beneficial feature for the site and if you enjoy it you'll likely continue it and put effort into it, it won't be a job without a wage. Personally I want to give the video capture side of things a shot and perhaps s
  11. Then what are we doing here. Because that post was directed at this forum as a whole and not the lofty expectations without the substance or planning of your post, amirite? Douchebaggery aside, how do you expect to overcome the problems with content delivery considering SW has a history of people saying they'll do something and then it never happens? I mean we had a substantially larger content team last attempt at a front page and to my knowledge not much came out of that.
  12. Fuck yes, goals without substance or planning!
  13. Those threads can generally get pretty big, especially if it was made pre-release and they're likely to contain mostly useless posts and heavily biased opinions leading to even more useless posts since it'll just start a chain of personal insults. I think the roundtable type discussion has the benefit of removing all the junk and focusing on the the discussion that is actually worth reading from those threads. I'm not sure of the value of hearing a bunch of no name amateurs having a round table about a game that's probably been on the market for a few weeks already. Especially when there bi

  15. That works in audio/video. Reading that is a mess. The old saying "A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link" describes our situation here. We have to work with the fact that everyone will be doing this for free, during their free time. It's fine to have noble aspirations, but we need to be realistic with what content we can supply. I like Dekz idea, the biggest problem we're going to face with the website is that we likely don't have the resources to make legitimate reviews work at anything more than "once in awhile." I think we'll have the same problem with the intentionally biased
  16. I put him up to that btw, I figured the laughing at the end gave it away lol
  17. I haven't talked to him about it and I don't think we need any direction for the first time.
  18. Let's just do that idea Dekz had about just talking and seeing how that goes.
  19. We're pretty much at the end of the month, pick a day.
