I don't know how modelling works. If it is an algorithm or they have to literally create double versions for their damaged models. That's why you run a pretty sizeable dev team, unlike Polyphony Digital which has always been a small dev house mentality. Let´s be honest, GT7 looks extremely outdated.

Realistic cloud formations, realistic night skies, music rally, photomode, GT Cafe. Nothing in there is spoken about better AI and realistic damage. Even the last part you see something that we have been doing since GT4 (chase the rabbit). Fundamentally speaking, the GT franchise is dead.

Gran Turismo is not a sim though. And judging from what I've seen, they are focusing on useless shit like novelties (GT cafe, cloud simulation and weather effects) instead of actual physics, damage and AI.

Played it and beat it a year ago. It was a great game, even with the technical flaws. Incredible atmosphere.

Gran Turismo physics are trash compared to real sim like Assetto Corsa and WRC.

How's that rig? I know it must be 100 times more firm than my Openwheeler. Whenever I do hard maneuvers, I can lift a bit of the pedals. I think it's time to update my set-up but I'll do it when I move.
