  1. Yeah, it’s easy to feel connected to each area, and know how it works. Btw, my bad. I thought I used spoilers. I fixed it.
  2. Yes! No hand-holding in a world that oozes atmosphere, filled with twisted imagery. The part with the Fucking awesome! I loved all of the puzzles. I, initially, hated the combat because I had that “kill everything” mentality. I actually enjoyed it once I became patient, realizing that nearly every encounter has a puzzle-like flow (each creature has a routine, in a very organic way). I was able to avoid 90% of them, once I got the flow down. As for length, if took me only 4 to 5 hours, but I love puzzle games (and I’m very good at them). There was 0 filler. I actually wouldn’t
  3. Finished GoW. The final act was awesome! The game’s main arc and characters have set a new standard for action-adventure games. I’m going to do more favors and the post game content before I give it a final score. Right now, the game is sitting between 8-8.5. The last last 1/3 of it was epic af. Hopefully, the devs fix the NPC/puzzle issue, as well.
  4. I still need to give this game another chance. It’s come so far in 2 years.
  5. For me. it’s a tie between Scorn and Plague Tale Requiem.
  6. I’ve made some good progress. I think I’m getting close to the end game. The story is getting pretty awesome. Yeah, there are lots of reminders that this is a ps4 title (Horizon FW did a way better job at feeling “next gen”), and the hand-holding is a major buzz kill. But the game has felt extremely focused since the reunion chapter. So far, it’s feeling like an 8. I would rank it way higher if it was significantly tighter in spots and if the puzzles were actually rewarding.
  7. Creatures of the prophecy was another excellent chapter. I hope the rest of the game can sustain its current momentum.
  8. @Twinblade i watched the first ep of 1899. wtf? i have some predictions, but still...wtf? so good, though!
  9. Nothing will ever top ET, but CP was a broken mess and infinite was a collection of poor Ubisoft-like side missions (“hey, let’s clear out this area“).
  10. you google how to get the extended ending? trust me, it's worth it.
  11. i would get it, but my free time is so limited right now. that's why i've been chipping away at GoW. after that, i'm taking a mini break from games (except maybe short campaigns).
  12. it has a lot of great, even some epic, moments. however, it feels too bloated in spots. it surpassed expectations, on a narrative level, but is falling short on a gameplay one. the hand-holding is pretty bad. hopefully, they disable it. the NPCs literally tell you the solution to the puzzle - right when you get there!
  13. sonic is $29.99 at walmart for xbox and switch. it's $34.99 for ps4/ps5.
  14. elden ring is easily my goty, which says a lot, since i've played a lot of titles i've loved. it's not a perfect game, but it just resonated with me unlike any other title i've played.
  15. Ok, Was a badass fight! Holy fuck! I wish there were more fights, of that scale, in this game.
  16. i hope they just release them all together. i haven't played any of these.
  17. i definitely agree that the game improved nearly every issue with the first. however, it has introduced its own problems. NPCs giving away the puzzles (or any obstacle for that matter) is a major buzz kill. the campaign could be a bit shorter (i prefer the first's length, in retrospect). i stopped doing favors because some of the main acts get exhausting (too much combat in parts or repetitive, automated platforming/puzzles). but in terms of writing and acting, it's a spectacular game. a lot of the humor feels organic. there will be a joke here and there that feels jarring. however, the story
