i did the first half of the game without summons or ashes of war. i was a pretty powerful mage. rock sling and rotten breath were my go-to spells/incantations. i started using summons when i heard about mimic. i started using ashes of war around the 3/4 part of the campaign. in retrospect, i wish i had used them earlier. many purists say they are "easy mode"...fuck them lol. i'm all about the experience. plus, they are fun as fuck. the build creativity is unreal. at one point, before patch 1.3, i was able to run around with my great shield, while i was set on fire. i was blasting mofos with fi

most weapons are pretty great when you upgrade them. shit...i have a mid game shield/ash of war ghostz turned me on to....and it smokes most end game magic.

good luck escaping it. even after beating it, i'm now aiming for the plat.

the winged scythe rapes her (if you are looking for a weapon). stay close and just keep spamming her. and yeah, the wolf is good, but the wolves are even better. they do a good job of distracting her.

get the lone wolves summon. i beat her without it (i believe i used the rotten breath incantation). however, it seems like the lone wolves in phase 2 is the way to go. you can upgrade your summons btw.

Yeah, I felt that way, at first. It all becomes second nature. I actually enjoyed the battles a lot!

Ok, I’m rocking a STR build with heavy holy/physical protection. I had almost beaten the elden beast (a few hits would have done it in). I will try tonight. At least I’m finally getting it past the 4/5 mark on a regular basis now.

It becomes a drug! Wait until you start using ashes of war, spells, incantations and summons.

I think both will have significantly larger roles in season 2.

I’m retarded (yes, I know you all knew this lol). I have tried every build and I can’t kill the elden beast (at best 3/4 down). I tried doing the cerulean tear trick, that gives you 10 seconds of no fp draining, with either comet azur or meteorite of astel. That mother just flew away or 1 shot me. I see how it’s done on YouTube, and I try the same things, but no luck. I’m convinced these fools are playing pre 1.03 patch. Anyhow, by changing up all of my builds, I got to spend a good 30 hours doing a lot of stuff I missed out on, a lot of it was actually cool. My biggest gripe - boss/enemy scal

Man…I can’t wait for you to get to the finale. One of the best directed season finales ever. The pacing, tension, acting and revelations = amazing! I didn’t breathe the last few minutes.
