Great review. I think I dug the story more than most people, perhaps because I played the main missions in a linear style. It’s like fun b movie sci-fi. I definitely look forward to doing the side quests. How long did it take you to plat?

I love the combat. I maxed out melee and was able to unleash serious damage, it’s also faster and more fluid than the first game.

The series X update for the first was amazing!

this was during gameplay. I loved this random statue. It looked super realistic. If you zoom in, the texture work and surface materials are stellar.

The funny part is, most of tech issues I came across were during the cut scenes.

Forza Horizon 5 had way more glitches and pop up issues (Series X resolution mode) I’ve completed both titles, unlike you. Unlike Forbidden West, I had to restart FH5 because of missing music or the game freezing. It’s a gorgeous title, no doubt. Like FW, it’s a technical masterpiece. However, both games had issues, due to being ambitious in their respective genres. Fortunately, neither came anywhere close to cyberjunk.

Not yet. I did ruins and tall necks. There’s still a massive chunk of the map I have touched, despite beating it I will be playing this for the next few months.

A lot of critics didn’t care for FW’s story. I liked it, even though it has some cringy dialog (especially early into the game) and some plot points felt rough around the edges.

Or you have different tastes. In the end, it’s subjective. This is why I don’t care about scores. A lot of 9, even 10, games don’t appeal to me. I remember when everyone was in love with Demon’s Souls (ps3) and I thought it was ugly and clunky ass shit. Different strokes. I gave Zelda BOTW 3 tries and it still bores me to tears.

Yeah, there are occasional pop up bugs like that. I had a funny one during the main, opening cut scene (which introduces the title of the game). Like, the whole foreground popped in during a damn CINEMATIC. It was funny, but jarring. Compared to Witcher 3 and Ubisoft games, I have definitely encountered the fewest bugs in FW, though, but they are definitely present. I think the only one that stood out during gameplay was this one screen flickering, and weather went from daytime to nighttime. So random
