Ok, I put in about ah hour and a half. I mainly did a bunch of suicide runs to find new areas and items. There’s a cool new system of collectibles that helps even out the playing field for lower level players and new game + ones. Those buffs only stay in the expansion. So far, it definitely feels like more Elden Ring, though more dense. I have already unlocked 1/2 of the main map. The game definitely is more vertically structured. While I have discovered those portions of the map, many areas are out of reach. The level design feels very well thought out, so far. My only gripes are enemy/mini b

The expansion downloaded Out of anticipation, I beat Malenia. Swarm of flies got heavily nerfed with her So, I ditched it immediately. However, Blasphemous Blade killed her in my first run. The sword’s 2 hand fire attack, with my fire boost potion, made me a god. I still can’t believe people need help with her. Maybe they are fighting her too early into the game (that blade is late game).

Nah. I mostly play indie AAA masterpieces like Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. They look/run perfect. I stay away from soulless trash like starfield, which is a gimped RPG, in general.

My SD Oled is what’s still keeping me gaming. Nearly 400 hours this year alone.

Ds3 is pretty linear, while ER is very open. I think ER grabbed me (the first souls game I beat) because you can take so many different paths if you are stuck. There’s a lot of freedom. If you YouTube a starter guide, it makes things less overwhelming and a bit (or even very) OP. I’m not “gud” at these games. I’m just persistent and figure out what strategy works for me. Sometimes magic…sometimes brute force…sometimes dex…you can change builds pretty early on. I tend to farm a bit, so I can have extra levels for a balance/hybrid build, usually a mix of strength and magic.
