easily. at best, it's been the best way to play playstation 4 games on a console, and it has demon souls remake (which i loved). aside from that, the system is ugly, ND is in remake limbo, no sony jap titles like last guardian, insomniac is falling into marvel hell. guerilla is still great, though (i enjoyed burning shores a lot). ps5 only bitchslapped xbox because xbox somehow managed to do worse lol.

i will definitely play this when it's on sale. i can't see myself paying full price for it.

nah, it'll look/run better on pc and be like $2 when it comes to switch 2 at $50.

yeah, i'm reading a lot of excellent user impressions. it's pretty much a done deal. i'm on chapter 3 of burnhouse btw. this game owns so much lol. i kind of want to keep riding this adventure game wave.

That trailer was zzzz. I hope it is surprisingly good, but nothing about it wows me. The novelty of the first’s incredible sound design has worn off, leaving a walking simulator with occasional, awful combat. If the combat plays a bigger role, hopefully it’s not clunky. I’m hoping for a AA-quality game, but I’m expecting a 5 or a 6 experience.

I would say on a design level, the original Dark Souls is magical. It may not look as good as d3 or BB, but god damn that interconnectivity is something else. Also, no area in any Souls game gets me more tense than Blighttown. When I replayed it in November, I practically snapped the controller in half, from the tension. But then I remembered there was a shortcut making things way easier. DS1 truly rewarded (while punishing lol) the gamer for exploring. No discovery ever felt cheap.

D3 is great, but I loved BB a lot more. Also, D3 is too easy to cheese. If you beat The Dancer early on, you get a ridiculous amount of XP, making most of the game pretty simple until the two princes.

yeah, i've been appreciating clever game design, or innovative concepts, more than ever. i don't get excited over insane visuals. like, i'll appreciate them, but they don't hit me the way they used to. i think a pc and a hybrid/portable companion will be my combo next gen. once i finally decide where i want to live (i want to get out of south florida), i'll get a pc.

actually, most of my ps5 gaming has been playing ps4 games at better framerates lol. i have been open about my disappointment with sony this gen. hell, its best exclusive is demon's souls remake
