  1. The Constant can easily be a standalone masterpiece season 4 was excellent, in general.
  2. Same. I’m going to wait for them to all release, though. It looks great!
  3. I’m in the middle of the third world. This game is incredible.
  4. I played a bit of this. Fucking cool as hell. I’m super impressed by the game design.
  5. Hmm I guess. I’ve never been a fan of the other BG games, so a longer one with a bunch of cutscenes doesn’t sound appealing.
  6. I think my days of long cut scenes are over, unless it’s only of those Until Dawn/immortality type games or a persona title.
  7. Sorry to hear how it all ended, but it sounds like it was a mostly great experience.
  8. i'll get it and let you know what i think
  9. i was literally googling puzzlers yesterday. this sooo fits the bill.
  10. I think several Sony AAA titles need to evolve, mainly GoW and Horizon. While I dug Burning Shores (what a looker too!), I kept feeling like the dated level design didn’t match the stunning visuals. GoW felt too rooted in ps4 design, as well. I think TLOU 3 (if it comes out) will probably own, since 2 had significantly better level design and combat than 1. The game still holds up well, on a visual and gameplay level.
  11. Substance abuse runs in my family, so several of the arcs hit hard for me too. Still, even with the chaos, I laughed quite a bit and found myself either cheering or worrying about each character. Really great stuff.
  12. Best bet: skip the side missions. Only do the cauldrons and the tall necks. The campaign gets a lot better as it progresses, but the world will always feel like a linear title slapped with a bunch of side shit. I hope 3 deviates from this last gen mold.
  13. The Bear’s season 2 finale was chaotic af. Overall, that was a spectacular season.
  14. I think season 2 (on ep 7) blows the first away. Significantly better character development and “the dinner” episode definitely warrants the hype. God damn that was cringy and masterful.
  15. The Bear’s season 1 finale was excellent. Onto season 2!
  16. Yup. Also, you’ll see where From gets its finale inspirations from, specifically seasons 1 and 3.
  17. So The Bear reminds me of The Wire, in the sense it took me 3 eps to connect with it. Both shows also took multiple attempts to get into (The Wire took 3!). So far, The Bear is a tasty dish, feeling closer to the 5 star experience it was hyped to be. Also, I know I mentioned the slick editing, but damn….the color grading for the nighttime scenes is an optical orgasm.
  18. I remember a lot of people loving season 1. I tried to watch it, a while back, but its frenetic first impression was too much for me. It reminded me of my restaurant years. But, I’m curious to see where it goes now that the characters are slowly developing. I started re-watching it because I hear the Christmas dinner episode (season 2) is one of the best pieces of television.
