  1. Mind you that's the launch model Switch from 5 years ago (they don't make these anymore) , and the LCD screen in the Switch has been improved since then. I won't even compare the screen to the OLED switch because that won't even be fair.
  2. You can spin it how ever you want, it's a portable.... portability is its greatest asset. Not being able to play it outside is a negative for some people, not all people..never claimed it was. The sRGB coverage is also quite low, playing indoors will not change that aspect now will it? I have yet to critique the batter life, it's what I expected it to be given the chip set. Valve cut costs on the screen, that's an undeniable fact. You can deny it all you want won't change a thing. And before you run to your patented bbbbbut teh sheep. I
  3. Is this where you deflect from any critique of the deck without actually responding? Nothing is wrong with the launch units having sub standard screens per se.. As time goes along and the prices of components drop im sure vavle will release models update the screens.
  4. For starters, Steam Deck's screen only has 68% sRGB coverage. John from DF called these results alarming (watch from 11:30) and says that's comparable to cheap lower end screens. The launch model Switch has full 100% sRGB coverage. https://www.neogaf.com/threads/detailed-review-of-switch-screen-quality-and-compared-to-3ds-by-erica-griffin.1369087/ And secondly, In the DF review you posted DF said the brightness level is not suitable to play outside the house.
  5. Yes it is actually. That's the only real glaring weakness of the current model of the deck.
  6. Great enthusiast device as I said from jump. Beyond that let's see if it gets traction as zero actual games will be made specifically for deck. Unless Valve does something. But that screen... Yiiikes They could have sourced a slightly better LCD for this thing at least, not suitable to use outside as a portable.
  7. I've served you so many Ls that you resorted to strait up posting disingenuous shit (because you were getting curb stomped).. Caught your ass... Then you drop it and tried to change the topic with a random straw man.. Rinse and repeat.
  8. This..... I rather have new games like Octopath and Triangle Strategy first and then get pixel remasters of old ass NES and SNES era FF games later..
  9. At least you finally got one thing right, Cooke and Twinblade are intellectually lazy. They don't do any research besides Google a headline and not such much as even read the article or sources. The other reason they can't run circles around a snail or punch their way out of a paper bag is that all their opinions are formed from OAN, Fox news, daily mail and the like... They know nothing beyond what they have been told to think.
  10. @ghostz you wanted to find Series X in stock, there you go
  11. The game is probably great despite the issues. But I've seen other great games that had similar issues at launch get killed critically and never recover that mind share with gamers even if a patch comes later on to fix said issues, because the damage was already done by it getting panned by reviewers.
  12. Your bad takes just continue to roll in. If 10s were handed out like candy every game would have a 98 avg review score... Stop the none sense.
  13. Look at that shit, disgusting. Trump isn't in office anymore, so now Fox has become the propaganda wing for Putin.
  14. Read what I posted again dumbass. Don't forget. "if we're to push the engine hard to find the divide, PS5 is the console that wins out." Soo much LemiJ and Ghostz cope in this thread because PS5 won out. The same LemiJ who just said yesterday or day before that he doesn't defend games on Xbox consoles..... Look at him go Have fun coping with PS5 wining yet again.
  15. Now LemiJ is straight up lying. When the engine is stressed PS5 wins out. "if we're to push the engine hard to find the divide, PS5 is the console that wins out."
  16. Hey Doofus... Are you trying to say that Series X running at 60fps for the most part has nothing to do with VRR masking its drops.... Wait for it.. For the most part?
  17. Yes.. For the most part. Except - if we're to push the engine hard to find the divide, PS5 is the console that wins out.
  18. For the most part.. You keep missing that part. You seem to think VRR means no frame drops at all....its not magic doofus. If the shift is too drastic and too quickly you will still see a frame drop even with VRR... Its just wouldn't be as bad on the same machine without VRR.
