Yea this is waaaay worse BUT the Switch version of this new MK1 is terrible and frankly shouldn't have been ported. We're at the point now where games are being designed for PS5/Series X with no cross gen version on PS4.... Switch 1 can't keep up to put out a decent version of PS5 games.

You're confusing the porting process with game design. It's a port of a game that was designed for higher spec hardware.

It's very ugly in general on Switch because the game was designed around PS5 level hardware that was then ported down, waaaay down to Switch 1. Targeting specific Switch hardware would mean the game was designed with switch in mind and then ported up to PS5. Like how MH Rise was designed around Switch... Specifically Switch hardware. (even though PC was planned from the jump as well) So from textures, gameplay, geometry, memory usage etc.. All designed specially around Switch hardware.

Its still a port of a game designed for PS5/Series X. A game made specifically for Switch means designed from the ground up for Switch genius.
