  1. Jesus christ. They're running to IGN polls. He saw that poll, and saw that Borderlands 3 was in second place......and Dynocrap was desperate enough to think to himself "I'm posting this as proof."
  2. Dynocrap is basically writing a scene from a road runner cartoon where he thinks Nintendo is going to fall off a cliff, and MS is the one who ends up falling off the cliff.
  3. Lemmings: "I'm sick and tired of these hype rumors that don't pan out for E3" [next week] Lemmings: "This rumor says that Xbox is actually going to be the most powerful"
  4. I thought I had read or heard somewhere that the night-vision missions were going to be like the Osama Bin Laden raid where they killed women when breaking into a compound. Or maybe I was just being influenced by that movie that was on tv a couple of weeks ago, I was watching it, and it was about the Bin Laden raid.
  5. I saw the first episode of that new Showtime series City on a Hill. Its supposed to take place in Boston 1992, starring Kevin Bacon. Its interesting, it appears as if its based on some true story, but I'm not sure. Its a story that follows 3 main characters. The Kevin Bacon character is a old school somewhat corrupt FBI agent. And then there's the black deputy attorney who is an idealist and he's an outsider, and then there's a blue-collar guy who is a robber with some sort of moral code, but he's still quite brutal when he needs to make important decisions regarding hi
  6. But the developers would have been notified about it in the documentation. They're just gonna spring it as a surprise? For hardware coming out next year? That would mean that the first wave of software won't be able to take advantage of it? That would be some bad mismanagement from the Xbox design team for failing to keep developers up to speed on this. AND, this also means that when the next wave of devkits hits............we will start seeing tweets and developers comments start mentioning this raytracing, right? because if it stays silent, then that narr
  7. Here's the thing.......if the same developers that Game journalists were relaying that they say that the PS5 is slightly more powerful than the next Xbox, if they are able to relay that assessment, why wouldn't they bring up ray tracing as an explanation for why the consoles are currently seen as having a gap? It would seem awfully incompetent, on their behalf for them to not asses the hardware performance without taking that into account. And you would imagine that developers working on next-gen Xbox games would know that they can implement ray-tracing. So if there was a major dif
  8. If developers are smart, and if Sony is smart.....they will aim for 1440p-1800p rendering and use all of those fancy reconstruction techniques when outputting at 4K. Maybe, just maybe, they will have some limited, somewhat-efficient method of ray-tracing. And start taking advantage of the CPU power upgrade in a way that the casual gamer will immediately notice.
  9. Didn't hear a "no" Its gonna be awesome when the lemmings are going to be the ones bumping this thread during this next week.
  10. I guess I'm the same way, except I never considered games "escapism." I play video games when I am content, and I don't feel any pressure to be doing anything else. When I'm happy, I actually feel compelled to play video games. When I feel stressed or feel like I have alot of stuff to do, I don't want to spoil my video game if I can't concentrate. Sometimes renting a game helps me, because the game now feels like a chore. I want to beat the game, or else its costing me money. So I try to rent and knock out that 25 hour Assassin's Creed game in under 5 days.
  11. I heard that Nicolas Winding Refn tv show is on Amazon Prime, and its not being released weekly, but all the episodes are there.
  12. I wish there was a smartphone with a neural sensor that detects what you want it to do based on your hand wrapped around it. Open web browser, do google search for a particular keyword, open Spotify, open keypad, etc.
  13. you talking about over the ear headphones? Because no adult is going to go around with those. The in-ear buds have a hook over the ear design, so that's an automatic no. Its looking like the new Sennheisers that just came out are the best true wireless in-ear buds. But for dollars to performance ratio, the Jabra 65t's are probably the best. I'm still going to give it one more year before in-ear true wireless earbuds finally mature and we have sound that is every bit as good as wired headphones, they're perfectly all of the controls, and they've squeezed out
  14. I wonder why Steam would comply with GOG. Or maybe its because Steam's API is so open that GOG can take advantage of it.
  15. What if its a remake like the Crash Bandicoot games? And secondly, do you really think Microsoft would just release it on the Switch as the only platform besides XBox/PC? And guess what........this is the second time we are seeing Microsoft related news that Microsoft decided to not talk about here in the states, and we're seeing it pour out quietly outside of America. Maybe its a coincidence, but if a couple of more stories like this happen, then its an obvious pattern. E3 just happened, Microsoft's show was 25 minutes shorter than what was expected of them
  16. You know what's the most damning part about this piece of news coming out? Microsoft is not telling the gaming press in America because they don't want any blowback. And this is going to be how they "expand". They're just not going to make a big announcement about these types of things they're doing, until its already come out.
  17. It really does look polished, from its style, to its gameplay. Hopefully, the fighting mechanics will be good. The different use of robots that you are tethered to allows you to do things like ride around or get over gaps. Also, I like how this game tries to maintain reasonable proportions in an open world. I like the back alley areas because they actually look realistic, tight areas, there's escape walkways, garbage, and window units hanging off the buildings. Japanese developers usually have this problem with their open world games, where sidewalks are like 30 feet wide, and the
  18. Genuinely shocked that they decided to pony up for the manufacturing costs of the cartridge with the highest capacity, so that they could fit everything onto it without requiring downloads. Really depends how Novigrad looks like, though. The studio that did this port has already done a hell of a job, but we need to see just what type of concessions they made with Novigrad.
  19. Is Remij's going to start using "other metrics" to suggest an Xbox game is going to be a huge hit? He was relying on Twitch views to sorta say that Sea of Thieves was a huge game, with tons of people playing it.
  20. I don't hate Edgar Wright, I thought that maybe I just hated all his movies, but I saw Scott Pilgrim a couple of years ago and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I had avoided it because it looked a bit cringey. Baby Driver reminds me of Shawn of the Dead. Its "clever." But clever is not considered comedy. I've watched movies that had very clever things that get setup and then they unfold, and I'm surprised and I'm entertained by it. And then there's "clever" like its a Rune Goldberg machine, and it looks forced. And I'm not entertained. The first chase sequence in
  21. Serge Ibaka looks really happy. I'm actually glad for him. First member of that original OKC Thunder team, who won a championship as an actual Starter on a championship team.
