  1. They still cost society money, either way. You ticket them or jail them for homelessness, you are STILL PAYING through your taxes. How are you not understanding that. Its actually C-H-E-A-P-E-R to just build simplistic housing for them to be bums in and do nothing.
  2. I already answered your question. Forced rehab. Forced jail is the same thing.........did you not notice that? We're still spending the money, either way. Might as well do the thing that has a better chance of reducing recidivism.
  3. Then they need to start taxing Amazon and other local major corporations that are currently getting tax cuts, and put some money into progressive policies to get these people back into society. Some cities offer jobs to the homeless working at conventions, or pay them for cleaning up the streets. One city did small, very basic housing. A super cheap house cost the city $18,000 to build And they calculated that jailing one homeless person, over and over again throughout an entire year, costs the city $31,000. And it would cost them again next year, and the ye
  4. They'd probably have some probationary record. The cost of jailing them forever also costs money. So if you're gonna be spending money over and over, it might as well be on something that actually has a chance at resulting in something productive. A heroin addict going to jail comes out exactly the same.
  5. I'll make a prayer for you to see that you get your wish.
  6. No, I definitely seem to be able to debunk just about everything you've said so far. Now you are correct that when it comes to getting pissy and losing your shit...........I got nothing on you in that department.
  7. And you've compared it with a city that is run by right-wing policies to determine that Seattle is doing a worse job.... .................right?
  8. And you examples of cities who are NOT affected by the opioid epidemic who do not have homeless encampments, right? You're gonna list them for me so that I can look up their crime statistics for drugs............right?
  9. But that would require significant investment into the jail to make it an advanced rehab facility. Do you honestly think this idiotic Sinclair Broadcast propaganda video is going to have mind-blowing information that the average person can't figure out? LOL
  10. Ah...........so you have example of other cities enforcing homeless encampments in which it CUTS DOWN on drug usage, right? You'll post those examples to me, right?
  11. But that would require facilities that are not a jail, that would require a medical facility. So no, that's not jail.
  12. If they were good solutions, you would've listed them by now. I know I would. Yet, I think you're gonna keep talking without mentioning them.
  13. Same question. THis is a byproduct of the opioid epidemic. Can you explain to me how the Seattle City council's policies are RESPONSIBLE for people addicted to opioids with no way out?
  14. Then you do pick them up and sentence them to forced rehab You do understand that you are now talking about the OPIOD EPIDEMIC. Can you explain to me how exactly the opiod epidemic is caused by the Seattle City council's policies?
  15. Ah yes.........that's what will stop the heroin epidemic. An arrest. THey'll be like "damn, I'll quit heroin cold turkey because this jail cell is just too much for me!"
  16. Wow you're that butthurt. Yeah I did find the quote in which you said we should take the Jacob Wohl accusation seriously or else we're hypocrites. ............even though you know it was a completely frivolous accussation he was making against Robert Mueller. Don't get mad (again). And get out of the bushes.
  17. Aaaand he now trying to change the topic. So now we are at 5 And you can tell that he kind of wants to stop.
  18. Rehab programs that don't involve arresting them over and over. Are you telling me that NOT DOING ANYTHING for drug addicts and NOT DOING ANYTHING for homeless people................is synonymous with "liberal" policy? Do you have examples of liberal politicians going around saying that they won't do anything for drug addicts and not address homelessness at all? If so...........point me to a speech or quote from them. I'd like to hear it.
  19. Where did I mention anything about a $20 minimum wage? Do you just try and LIE you way out of any argument??????
  20. If they were truly liberal, they would be doing something about drug rehab problems and offering the homeless free-housing in other liberal cities. A city that does nothing for the drug addicts and nothing for the homeless are actually conservative-like policies.
  21. Yeah.........because it doesn't change the fact that its still rock bottom wages. You can make as many comparisons as you want...........but the numbers do not lie. The national minimum wage is lower than it was in the 1950's and 1960's.
  22. Yeah. It lines up with what people were making for minimum back in the 1950's You can check for yourself with googling minimum wage history and using an inflation calculator.
  23. If you have a business whose business model REQUIRES YOU to pay people rock-bottom wages............then you don't have a good business.
  24. I think they would deserve about $12, and then phase it to higher minimum wager over the course of several years. Because its not just minimum wage..........its productivity. A burger employee in 1950 does not have the productivity from a burger employee today. Today's employees are generating more revenue (already counting for inflation).
