  1. Playstation Underground was a magazine with a demo disc. It was copying Nintendo Power, which clearly predates it. Are you sure you're not thinking about Qorocity, or Qore? That was a quarterly (I believe) video "magazine" where they had previews of games and interviews, and sometimes demos. They charged money for that.
  2. Take your own advice. Until then, stop whining like a woman, you're just causing more confusion about this whole gender thing. lol
  3. Notice how everybody else tried to shift the attention onto me afterwards because I was right about them being butthurt incels? LOL
  4. I'm pretty sure when you are a game developer...........who develops games................as a BUSINESS...........to make money. A store front that PAYS YOU MORE MONEY suitably meets the definition of being "better." You seem to think we should care about whether we open up the Steam icon or the Epic Game Store icon and click the game to play it........you seem to think there's some huge difference in the experience that we need to be appreciating. You're an idiot. You're trying to be a fanboy of a DIGITAL STORE???????????? Tell me, is the data "
  5. Nah. You're not laughing. Little too late to try and use that excuse. This thread will get to 10 pages, and you will be madder on Page 7 than you are here. I know that, because its already happened before.
  6. You're speaking as if 30% revenue cut was written in the Bible 2000 years ago or something. This is business. This is called competition. If YOUR COMPETITOR is willing to do something that YOU CAN'T do.......and they TAKE YOUR BUSINESS, there's nothing to complain about. That's the "invisible hand" of the free market. If you don't understand this extremely simple and straightforward concept, don't ever open your own business.
  7. LOL, Epic is giving developer's a better cut of the revenue. Steam didn't do it for the 15 years they controlled the PC gaming marketplace. Steam basically allowed one of the WORST industry practices to ever exist: Early Access. Now they allowing developers to release games and sell them completely unfinished. Valve never did anything resembling Quality Control. You know......Sony and Nintendo "pay for friends".......we usually call that exclusive games. I understand why you would be indifferent to that concept, its so foreign to what you're used
  8. Freaking out over them like as if your manhood is being threatened makes you alt-right. Use GD for an example, he probably doesn't like this stuff........but you don't see him losing his shit about it on a daily basis, do you? Try looking at OTHER MEN..........y'know, men who are actually men, and try acting like them. Fake it til you make it.
  9. Bird is probably more productive to society than another alt-right incel. I say go for it. I ll keep a lookout
  10. No. Sega failed to sell consoles.............that's what makes them Sega. Xbox did a better job emulating Sega than Sony or Nintendo ever could Can't believe this moron set that up for me.
  11. I was wondering when the weekly Cooke thread of something he saw from a 4chan post was going to make its way here.
  12. I love how that doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. I suppose if you wear a headband, according to your logic you just became Lebron James? LOL
  13. Nintendo and Sony need to start securing licenses for MLB, NBA, and probably FIFA, and they need to start creating first-party studios just to churn out annual sports games. They need to start thinking about developing more first and second party studios to increase the diversity of their games. JUST in case.
  14. If anything, I'd say that Ubisoft games selling on Stadia helps subsidize those console versions existing. If I'm Sony and Nintendo, I'd be making courteous yet emphatic "reminders" to Activision, EA, Ubisoft, Take Two, Square Enix, Warner Brothers, and all the other traditional publishers that they better not think about treating their existing relationship as second-priority compared to Google or any other streaming company. That they better deliver those same exact games, developed optimally for the consoles, on the same launch day that it comes out on Stadia. And if
  15. I'd say that 60% of the industry's best game designers are employed by Nintendo and Sony. I may even put that percentage even higher. As long as Sony and Nintendo are clearly heads above the rest, and utilize their big name IPs without driving them into the ground (i.e. Microsoft), they can sustain their own business model. Dude, the Smartphone industry SHOULD'VE killed Nintendo's handheld business by now. There are 224 million smartphone users in the US. Just the United States, alone. Here we are, in 2019. Nintendo handheld are going strong, their Pokemon s
  16. Nah. You're thinking..........linearly. You're thinking that these are regular games played on a regular controller. And Google is replacing the computing method in which it receives traditional input and sends back video as output. If Sony and nintendo did nothing but traditional games based on traditional genres and design, you'd be right. They are going to make video games have different experiences. Which means its going to give people a reason for LOCALIZED computing. This explains Sony having alot of research and patents in VR. Nintendo is
