  3. It is interesting because the guy doesn't need any reason to fire the white employees in an "at will" state. Which is what Oregon is. He could walk in on any day, and say "I don't need you" and fire them on the spot, and hire two different people on that same day.   13. Except if they are still in the store...……...they are still being paid by the boss. If they locked up the store and are going home, then you would have a more valid argument. CLOSING TIME may not mean that is when the employee's working hours are over. WHY are you still acting like you don't know what happens at these service jobs?
