Holy shit................I am right, and @ghostz just lost the homeless argument. Australia is counting OVERCROWDED dwellings as homeless. The official position of HUD for counting homeless people is that they DO NOT COUNT people who are currently at overnight homeless shelters. They only purely count people on the street. The United States has actually 1.5 million homeless people, but HUD only recognized 553K as truly homeless. In Australia, almost half of that 116K number is them counting people who are overcrowding a dwell

The US census sends out mailers....................explain to me how the homeless would be getting those mailers? Except that could be an issue of Australia doing a much, much better job counting homeless people in their census than America. Its virtually guaranteed that America vastly undercounts its homeless.
