Here's another thing to think about Everyone who this lord of light or whatever kept alive due to luck or orchestrated turn of events in order to defeat the white walkers have now served their purpose. That means they're about to start dropping like flies.

I agree but Endgame didn't feel like the second part to it. It felt like a completely different movie. That may have been deliberate and that's fine but I personally would've preferred a more tonally fitting continuation of the story.

Infinity War was subversive, opposite of fan service, had some balls. Endgame was a textbook disney conclusion. They should've taken more risks, especially with Infinity War as set up.

By the way Theon's arc really hit me hard in this episode. I was ready to dismiss him as a character last season and they brought it back together beautifully as he redeemed himself and then some

I disagree I think the show runners made the decision to make the third act full of spectacle and it's been fuckin great We have yet to see how it all ends and there's no guarantee that the ending will be happy or full of fan service. We'll see Also the great war not being so great and the long winter not being so long is part of the surprise for me. They wrapped it all up in one episode, turns out the Night King was a red herring the whole time. I'm fine with that. Where does it go now? I'm more intrigued by the living than the dead
