So what are you saying? That whoever has the most money gets to buy everything else and own the world?
They can, but there's monopoly laws. Are you taking a moral stance? I'm not sure what you're saying.
I think we're in for a competitive gen that's gonna be better than the last. And Sony will be forced to launch a real subscription service with day one new games.
Which is better for everyone involved. Thanks to MS paying for each new game is a now an outdated idea.

Cows don't play FPS they prefer third person movie simulators.

Most normal people see trillion dollar megacorps buying up everything and consolodating an industry under a few big players as a bad thing.
And then there's Vini
Most normal people see competition as a good thing and one company dominating the whole gen a bad thing.
And then there's Cows.

Details on Spartacus may still not be finalized, but documentation reviewed by Bloomberg outlines a service with three tiers. The first would include existing PlayStation Plus benefits. The second would offer a large catalog of PlayStation 4 and, eventually, PlayStation 5 games. The third tier would add extended demos, game streaming and a library of classic PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games. A representative for PlayStation didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
they’re gonna be using their PS5 to play… demos and PSP games
This is dead on arrival.

Yeah they needed a gamepass competitor like a year ago, but like all the cows here they didn't take it seriously.
Now it's too late. They're launching another half ass subscription service called Project Blueballs or some shit that nobody will care about because new exclusives won't be day one.

(Bloomberg) -- Sony Group Corp. shares fell 13% in Tokyo on Wednesday, their biggest drop since October 2008, after PlayStation rival Microsoft Corp. announced a $69 billion deal to acquire games publisher Activision Blizzard Inc.
The blockbuster acquisition escalates Microsoft’s spending spree to secure intellectual property assets for its Xbox Game Pass service, wiping $20 billion off Sony’s valuation in a day. The push to attract paying subscribers with an overwhelming portfolio of games challenges Sony’s traditional console business model that relies on high-profile exclusive titles and hardware sales. Games and network services account for about 30% of Sony revenue.
“Sony will have a monumental challenge on its hands to stand on its own in this war of attrition,” said Amir Anvarzadeh of Asymmetric Advisors. “With Call of Duty now most likely to be added exclusively to the Game Pass roster, the headwinds for Sony are only going to get tougher.”
“Sony will struggle to match Microsoft in terms of money it can spend to buy popular game IP,” Morningstar Research analyst Kazunori Ito said. “Falling shares illustrate investors are worried that Sony may not be able to keep winning if indeed the industry shifts away from the hardware-based model.”
Cows still have no idea what's happening here. They were so sure this gen was won
I can't wait for the incoming slow meltdown on this forum.

That's what you want to see in the future, it doesn't represent it's current state at all.
Not saying it will never happen but I doubt MS are willing to lose million of potential sales in the hope of getting a few subscription. They are running a business here and their studios needs to be profitable. I don't think they are quite ready for such an approach right now. Maybe once it gets bigger but not at 25m GP userbase.
Why do the studios need to be profitable if gamepass overall is profitable? Microsoft can afford to make these short term losses they have more disposable money than any other company in the world.

Of course it's all about Gamepass but they still release their games on other platforms, as it generates better revenue from the product.
I have yet to see an exclusive GP game.
The point is now you can play CoD for a cheap monthly fee, they don't need to remove the product from other platforms to entice people into subscribing to Gamepass. The cheap value is the appeal, not it's exclusivity.
Guarantee you that if Starfield sell below expectations they will quickly release a PS5 port without thinking twice.
Exclusivity is part of it. Gamepass will eventually become more expensive like Netflix inevitably so exclusivity will come in handy.

My bullshit detection meter is through the roof right now.
How about you post your Steam account and show how much time you spent in games you have played in VR? I'll wait.
I don't have a steam account I have a girlfriend.

Here's my popular opinion: Idiots who has next to zero VR experience doesn't need to share their shit opinions on a subject they know nothing about. Thanks.
Unsurprisingly it all comes from the casual Gamepass Lemtards who plays the annual CoD, annual sports games and other generic trash.
I have plenty of VR experience and it's always the same shit. It's for a niche audience that always preach about it's incoming renaissance. Truth is you weirdos just end up using it for porn 95% of the time when you're not busy playing Half Life Alyx for 10th time over.
-
Here's my unpopular opinion: Every VR ever is a failure. It's a gimmick, like 3D and always will be. Unless you're one of the metaverse weirdos.

No, I sense desperate lemmings coming out of the woodwork because they had been letdown by Microsoft, again, these past few months.
And Phil Spencer knows he's struggling with GamePass, and Microsoft had already invested so much money that they had to triple-down, because its plainly obvious that they are trying to force Sony to allow GamePass onto the Playstation userbase.
HBOmax grew their subscriber base to 73 million.
Let me repeat that again.
SEVENTY-THREE MILLION..............paid subscribers. And their only month-to-month price is $15. Annual is $150.
And they got SEVENTY-THREE MILLION people to sign up and pay those prices.
What is Microsoft's excuse?
I'm not getting into a 5 page argument with you so I'll respond once. Gamepass has had a steady growth trijectory and I don't see it stopping any time soon, and my comparisons to HBO and Netflix have nothing to do with their subscriber numbers, way more people watch content than play games. That's beside the point.

Last gen was dog shit from all fronts. Boring as fuck. Microsoft games is waking from it's dormant state. It only took a decade of failed attempts at releasing tablets, laptops, convertibles, terrible phones, stupid gadgets nobody gave a shit about Microsoft finally faced the truth: They're good at 2 things: Software and Gaming.
My prediction is half the industry is going to get rolled into gamepass, it's going to turn into Netflix for gaming I think it's inevitable at this point. Sony will become HBO to Microsoft's Netflix, if they don't fail in the process. They're gonna be forced to keep their exclusive AAA game growing exponentially. Each game has to hit to the point that half the industry wants to play it. And they're gonna have to deliver on multiplayer too. None of this 1 big game a year shit from Sony any more. They're gonna have to do 3-4 bangers a year or they're gonna get eaten.
All this to say that we're gonna see a whole new generation of crazed lunatic fanboys heating up the internet again.

And that means that I never padded their 25 million number, since they're already counting me from when I did the promo for The Outer Worlds, and for the longest time, I was in the xCloud Beta program, and for that program they had people try out GamePass games.
Wait doesn't that mean you did pad their number?

You two dumbasses are still talking in third person while quoting each other?

A big sign that they are struggling with GamePass is that I see on Slickdeals.net forums that people are still sharing alot of Steam sale deals, Humble bundle deals, and even European PC game codes.
And deals on BUYING retail copies of Forza 5 and Halo on PC.And it really feels like these people don't want GamePass, in the comments section, nobody directs the conversation over to GamePass for playing those games.
To take advantage of the vast majority of PC GamePass games, you only really need a PC with a GTX 970 or above. So, anybody who has bought or built a decent gaming PC within the past 7 years should easily be a GamePass PC customer.
So........why aren't there like 40 to 50 million subscribers coming from the PC, alone?
You can't stop this train Jerry
If you don't want gamepass today you'll want it tomorrow when all your favorite franchises end up there day one. There's no escape.

LOL Phil spencer needs to go back to offering ONE DOLLAH for 3 months promotion just a couple of months ago, in order to pad those numbers.
They're not making $375 million in revenue per month.
And I liked how you used revenue and not profit.
GamePass is fixing to have a catalog of old Activision and Bethesda games that it will remind you of when Redbox was offering video games.
Keep crying, those are active subscribers

The sales expectations on Playstation for a new Bethesda IP and the most iconic Activision IP that has been multiplats for decades are probably not the same.
Microsoft won't give a shit about sales expectations. They want gamepass subscribers.
And the way to do that is to deny playstation owners their favorite COD games until they switch to Xbox or subscribe on PC.
If I was Microsoft I would pull Warzone and all COD from playstation effective immediately. This is war baby.
-
Modern Warfare 2 is gonna be day one on game pass, I can't imagine how much that's gonna drive subscribers.
-
https://news.yahoo.com/microsoft-game-pass-25-million-subscribers-151432036.html
That's $375 million in revenue per month and $4.5 billion a year that Sony doesn't have.
Edit: double post remove if you want. Or don't. TCHBO.

It's just as "close" now as Xbox1 was close to PS4 at this point in time. Same exact gap.
How did that turn out again?.. Oh yea the Gap increased and Xbox1 sold half as much as PS4
That would make sense if the gap wasn't exponentially decreasing this time.
Game pass is going to swallow Sony whole if they don't compete. Just like Netflix swallowed major movie studios.
