Have you noticed Deeno's posting rate has plummeted since MS put Halo on steam and Cuphead on Switch? I think reality's finally sinking in. Even Slow Johnny jumped ship, and he's just so goddamned slow.

Same here. I got one with a 1050 Ti and it's been great. I got tired of a desktop taking up space that I had to clean out with canned air all the time. This does everything it did, takes up way less space, and I can develop on it and take it with me. It's great. The most-graphically demanding games rarely do it for me these days, anyway.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Nintendo had the rights to the code, but not the property. Or something like that. So Nintendo owns the game part of it, but they don't own anything else. Activision has something in there, since they made the Daniel Craig CoD-lite remake. I guess they could just reskin it as something else entirely and pretend it's not goldeneye with a wink and a nudge.

I doubt they'd just port Halo CE. If they're porting anything, it's probably MCC. Switch can run Halo 1-4 plus Reach without much issue; those are all 360 games.

They own partial rights. The game hasn't seen a re-release on any Nintendo system since N64 and that's likely because of rights issues.

If Switch ends up getting Rare Replay I'm gonna flip a shit. Better yet, what if we ended up with a Goldeneye remaster on Switch? No idea who has the rights, but since it was Rare-developed and Nintendo-published, it seems MS and Nintendo can probably get it done.

EDIT: I hadn't thought of it before, but google's a global company. They're probably going to get a strong foothold in South Korea and Japan with this where latency isn't as much of an issue, then build out from there.

Scary question: if Google essentially turns youtube into part of its gaming platform, can it kick Nintendo and Sony off of that platform? I'd rather not have the main way of sharing trailers be exclusive to google.

I know I'm getting my hopes up, but I would love them to do full 3D environments with 2D sprites. The first was a great game, but now it's time to really push forward with the sequel. Don't give me cookie cutter, give me next-gen HD-2D.
