I bounced after MCC was shit and four years later, the only thing I've learned is that dropping the Xbone was a better decision than dropping the Wii U. Think about that for a second.

Question: do lemmings have a game to look forward to after this? Serious question.

Why? Lot of people have that opinion. Though I think LTTP is better because it's easier to play due to the button layout. This remake will likely tackle that problem, though.

I hope they update the mechanics for Links Awakening. Not sure why they wouldn't. For example, when I get the feather, I should have a dedicated jump button. No more switching to a feather to jump. Just make it a default part of my move set from then on out. I'm OK with the art style. Better than Wind Waker's style.

This. We've known Platinum has been working on an unannounced Switch game for a while now. I think most people were expecting a W101 port or something. Not this, this was out of left field, but it sure as shit isn't rushed.

For the record, we're talking about a game on 1X compared to a handheld system that's 1/20th its size:

it's pretty much a screen-by-screen remake from the looks of it. Kinda hard to destroy a classic when the remake is just copy/pasted with new graphics.

The Daemon X Machina demo is pretty sweet. It's surprisingly lacking in bullshit. You get into the action pretty quickly without some dumb story set up that takes 30+ minutes like most Japanese games these days.

Rumor mill says they had one game in development with Sakamoto as the director that was scrapped a few years back. The other game was the rumored Star Fox Grand Prix, which we don't know the status of.

Mario Maker 2 Daemon X Machina Astral Chain Link's Awakening Remake Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Yoshi Fire Emblem Three Houses All exclusive. And most of these are just in the first half of the year. They didn't even mention Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, or Pokemon. Hellblade? DQXI looks great. Tetris BR New SE RPG looks ok, not sure i'd buy. Overall this was a pretty epic direct.

Shit, at least I'm honest about my leanings. If I could actually play my PS4 consistently, I'd be a cow, but I can't. Switch just fits my lifestyle better. I still haven't played RE2make.
