  1. No one is denying Nintendo games have long legs. But we're talking OCTOBER sales, not lifetime. Both games release on Oct. 20th. Spiderman 2 has 2 years worth of the massive hype train behind it, a hype train thats about to go into overdrive. Mario Wonder is another spinoff Mario game that was barely announced 3 months ago... In a comparison of sales for an 11 day period, Spiderman 2 is going to stomp the living shit out of Mario Wonder. I won't even be surprised if Spiderman 2 hits 3 million before the end of October. Mario Wonder? I
  2. Spiderman sold 33 million. Mario Maker wasn't even in the same stratosphere lol... Sheep are delusional if they think another spinoff Mario game is going to sell more in October than one of the most hyped sequels of this console gen.
  3. There's plenty of alternatives. Godot and Armory come to mind. Of course theres UE5 and CryEngine as well. A lot of indie games are 2D so you got stuff like Unfold and GameMaker they can jump to. Always surprised me why so many 2D indie games used Unity when these engines were available, these engines are specialized for 2D games.
  4. I thought that was a joke at first but then laughed even harder when I realized it was real. Bring back F-Zero just to turn it into a Battle Royale. Fuckin' Nintrolldo
  5. Guess SF6 is winning Fighter of the Year afterall.
  6. Played it on PSP. Didn't seem any different from a typical Ys game. Honestly, you could just swap Adol with the main character and call it Ys and no one would question it.
  7. Hard to tell with all the retcons going on. This game is ending at The Forgotten City, they've already confirmed that. Thing is though, there are two points where the party goes to The Forgotten City. First time is the end of Disc 1 where Aerith dies and the second time is when you return here to give Bugenhagen the Key of the Ancients which is near the end of Disc 2. Considering the footage they've shown... it's a mess of events compared to the original that don't make sense. -They showed WEAPONs being active but that doesn't happen until AFTER Cloud gives
  8. LOL Yup, gotta make all the fuckin nonsense from the garbage that is Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Advent Children, and Dirge of Cerberus relevant and incorporate as much of it as possible. Just cram it all in there, this shit sandwich doesn't have enough shit. I legit laughed at the pretty faithful remakes of the Gold Saucer minigames though. Honestly didn't expect them to do that.
  9. I remember I was getting ready for work and then getting a phone call from my boss saying "No work today. Stay home". And I was like, "Why? What's up?" She responded with, "You don't know? Check your TV". So I head out into the living room and see my whole family just staring at the TV screen in silence and I turn to look at the screen and just freeze in place. I'm just standing there for who knows how long just in complete disbelief and I remember the first words I do manage to say is "No way is this real" in a low tone. I finally sit down to wa
  10. Skyward Sword has always been considered one of the weaker entries. It's stale as fuck and the motion control fad had run its course long before the game even released.
  11. I actually got around to playing the demo and have some mixed feelings. The world seems a lot more interesting than I originally thought but I also thought the combat was kind of whack. So it's basically hinging on if the level design is any good in the final game, the level design in the demo didn't leave much of an impression on me but if it gets better in the final game then I might give the game a chance.
  12. I did catch that. But you also turned around and said this which implies you were really pushing the argument to make the comparison. It's two completely different genres where the comparison doesn't make sense because they have different standards and expectations. Let me put it this way: What's the first thing people ask when it comes to a JRPG? "Is the story good?" is usually the first question. What's the first thing people ask when it comes to Horror? "Is it scary?" is usually the first question. So to make this shor
  13. I'm a fan of the series but I did not like this one. This style of game should not be long, they should've cut this game's length in half. GORE drags on for far longer than it should and it way overstays its welcome.
  14. Haven't played Signalis but I do know Horror is generally considered to be the easiest genre to work with, especially for a small team. There's a reason Horror is known as the "Breakout" genre for pretty much all forms of media. It's low budget and the writing gets heavy assistance from other factors involved. So comparing Signalis to Sea of Stars is just a dumb comparison... Two completely different genres with completely different standards.
  15. Story sucks but that should've been a given considering they didn't hire an actual writer. Then again I've been following the game for years so I already knew not to expect anything from the story. Sea of Stars was always banking on its gameplay to win people over.
  16. What is Remedy's deal with using live action in their games? You go for ultra realistic graphics but then you splice in live action scenes? Doesn't make sense and it's always so jarring to me to see the switch between the two.
  17. Uhh... the graphics are nice, I guess. Nothing else to really say because nothing happened. Walk down a hall, hear a door around the corner, check around corner to see door closing. End of trailer. Guess they're trying to get over the atmosphere but it didn't seem anything special.
  18. Thoughts? I saw it for pretty cheap (40 bucks) and was thinking about grabbing it. I played the first one and thought it was alright but I do remember certain aspects of the game being a bit of a letdown. The procedural nature of the game made it a pain in the ass if you're trying to accomplish a specific thing. I also didn't think the procedural generation really changed things much. It all felt pretty minimal for the most part. I also remember the Classes to be kind of bland and uninteresting. This bleeds into the gearing and character builds as well so bu
  19. Yeah, they definitely dropped the ball. Avoiding spoilers but having it happen within the first 10 hours of the game was just dumb because it left a very noticeable hole for the rest of the game.
  20. I didn't even finish it. I dropped it after like 8 or so hours. Felt way too safe and samey. Which is a shame because I liked the first game but the sequel was a huge letdown for me.
  21. I did everything. Didn't they claim this game would be 80 hours to 100%? So that was a lie. My playtime was barely over 50 hours. Hard to enjoy the side quests when the game literally dumps them on you in large chunks instead of spacing them out. Writing can't save stale quest design especially when there is an abundance of these stale quests. Things I liked? Hmm... I liked Cid and Beneditka but- and that's a HUGE but- it's hard for these two to carry the game because Lord knows Bootleg Belmont and Lamer Tifa ain't doing it. It's bad when random NPCs are mor
