MJ looks like she's pushing 50 and Peter looks like he's still in high school so seeing them interacting with each other makes MJ looking like she robbing the crib.

I never really understood the change to Peter. He looked fine before and I personally think the original looks better. Apparently they wanted him to look more like Yuri but they made Peter look too young. Throw a beard on him or something.

But whatever, I don't really have much interest in this game so I wasn't going to play it to begin with. Thought the previous games were overrated.

Not bad, pretty interesting art direction. Kind of Aztec/Mayan like but mixed with fantasy. I dig it.

Bell boss looked cool but also weird as fuck.

So glad it's not just Souls but with Mechs. This looks awesome, never really was a AC fan but I'm gonna play this.

I feel you and was honestly in the same situation until I started trying more indie games. You can find a lot of unique shit if you're willing to give stuff a chance. Its not always going to be executed well but if what you're after is a fresh experience or something different then you can find that in spades if you look around.

This is incredible. Like I'm legit blown away by this.

We got examples of fully 3D games running beautifully on a damn GBA of all things but devs today can't optimize for shit even with all of this advanced hardware and technology we have today?

Animations are bad. Like a group of interns did them levels of bad.

I played the first and thought it was alright but nothing special. It didn't really leave me with a feeling of wanting a sequel though. So the sequel would have to be improved in many ways for me to consider it.

Well, this certainly escalated.

I don't really use Discord but just a little bit ago I poked my head in there to get information for something and was going to close it immediately after.

But then I saw the SW server.

I had completely forgotten that SW had a Discord so I figured I'd pop in for a second just to see who was there. It's literally just Pat_McCrotch and some dude named Brown Child posting gifs back and forth.

I was thinking more like DQ XI (the game has boats and airships). DQ XI is traditional while making smart modernizations. Throw in a X-2 style combat system with FF X's character switching, rework the materia system (I did like VIIR's materia system so just use that), and ignore all the retcons and additions the sequels added.

Can we get a real FF 7 remake then? Preferably hand it over to a different team.

For reals, I hate that these are exclusive. I thought they were great games, they were some of the few games I'd consider to be "Must Have" GameCube games. I typically don't like card based combat systems but Baten Kaitos did it very well.

From what I've heard, Blizzard went nuts with the nerf bat. Heard grumblings from hardcore fans that  a lot of nerfs don't make sense and some were even speculating that Blizzard might be trying to sabotage the game.

Yeah, I didn't care for it either. I quite enjoyed the first game but I barely got 6 hours into the second one. Its just so... safe and routine. The game has like zero ambition.

I still have no clue what kind of game this is.

A Horde mode type of game?

that said, it is kind of split between management and more "action". the management portion happens in your sushi restaurant at night where you're setting a menu, managing hiring, setup, and serving. the "action" portion happens during the day where you get two chances to dive (morning and afternoon), during which you can prioritize a number of different activities. You're limited by the amount of oxygen your tank can hold, how deep your suit can go, and how much you can carry back to the surface - all of which you upgrade using the money you make off the restaurant. Obviously you're catching fish - which you use to set the menu for your sushi shop, but you're also finding a lot of artifacts and materials under water. You also get a number of quests to do such as investigating an underwater ancient colony. I'm not super far in but it seems like it gets pretty wild in terms of what you're exploring.

 

 

Reminding me of Moonlighter.

Cool art direction, interesting story, whack gameplay. Combat got stale real quick because the game uses a very heavy Rock/Paper/Scissor system.
