I still like the 360 version of Oblivion for having full controller support. The PC version is very KB+M and the menus aren't easy to map with Steam Input. Same deal with Morrowind on OG Xbox.  Looking back on some of these 360-exclusive lists, it's barely an essential console anymore. Gears of War 2 is the only one I'd go back to.  Maybe Project Gotham 3.

I thought about buying ES III and IV but nah, they're so much better on PC it's not even funny.

There's no such thing as an essential console that is old. Lmao. PS3 exclusive library that hasn't been ported is just as lackluster as 360's, perhaps even worse. Resistance and Motorstorm aren't in the upper echelon of gaming masterpieces.

I keep forgotten about the Project Gotham games. PG3 is like 5$. Good call.

Also, I was pretty sure Gears 2 got ported but both Gears 2 and 3 are still exclusive to 360? I figured Microsoft would have ported the original trilogy already. I guess they don't do it because of BC. Thanks, you've give me more games to look into.

Xbox systems are the worst to collect for :D It probably has the smallest percentage of games that will drastically increase in value.

Hope you have a 360 slim too because that og pile of shit wont be working by the time you want to play these games.

Original Xbox and 360 are fine to collect for. OG Xbox has some pricey stuff. 360 games are valued lower than their PS3 counterparts but they follow similar increase in value. The time to collect for PS3 has pretty much passed. 360 will be in a similar situation in a few years.

It's Xbox One and Series X where I can't see a future for collectors. No exclusives whatsoever is gonna harm that platform appeal quite a lot. The only exclusive I know on Xbone is Rare Replay collection... That's just fucking sad.

And yeah, 360 faulty hardware is not helping. But like you said there's the slim model and Xbone also has BC for a lot of games.

Lol as a hobby this seems annoying, but as a money flip it seems like a lot of effort for such a small return, and it's all speculation on a random commodity.

I enjoy it a lot, seeing a bunch of old games, playing them for the first time or rediscovering them, nothing wrong with that. It doesn't take much effort for someone who is already invested in video games. I wouldn't recommend this to a bunch of casual gamers who don't know better, because good luck on making a profit with Call of Duty or whatever is popular these days. It's the niche games that pays and that's my expertise because that's all I played for the past 30 years.

But you're not wrong, we're speculating on things that have generally low ROI for the time it takes to gain value. Unless it's some holy grail. I had quite a lot of games that turned a few hundred dollars in profit per game. But yeah, those are the exceptions, not the rule.

  4. What proactive and speculating collectors should look for are digital only games that gets a limited physical release. Those are good, because eventually all the old consoles stores will be shut down once the revenue stream is smaller than what it cost to keep offering the service.

You'll have tons of games that will disappear in the digital realm forever. And most of them are too insignificant to get a rerelease. We've seen this happen many times already. Hell, that's pretty much the only reason why those fuckers at Limited Run Games exist. Terrible company though.

  5. Absolute nonsense. There's isn't a single game I can't find and only select titles become too pricey for the average person. It's not like those games are expensive because they're good anyway.

No one should pay 1200$ to play boring piece of trash like Kuon. No one bought that title when it came out and that's the only reason it's pricey, it's just a rare game that was shipped in low quantities and is only now getting recognition because people didn't know From Soft until they started releasing the same game every two years. Otherwise it would be within affordable range. Hell, 1200$ isn't that bad.

PS3/360 games that came out before 2010 in general aren't worth shit. 5$-10$ per game unless a sought after collector game. Even then, they're priced around the same as a new game coming out now, not unpurchasable by any stretch of the imagination.

The rarest games are all NES, SNES, N64, Saturn and longbox PS1? Why? Because the package was flimsy, weak and broke down easily, so finding complete-in-box in a great condition is rare as fuck. It's normal. This will never happen with PS3, PS4 or PS5 games because they now use more solid plastic packaging like DVDs.

You can easily find cartridges for any of those platforms or discs quite easily and cost next to nothing. NES games are like 10$ and they're as old as I am.

  6. I'm mostly looking for exclusives, multiplatform games that are not on STEAM (360 version usually is better than the PS3 version), games that haven't been ported to newer platforms and games with exclusive content on 360.

    So far I bought:

    Ace Combat 6

    Ace Combat Assault Horizon

    Alpha Protocol

    Anarchy Reigns (sealed)

Bayonetta (not the best version but I already had it)

    Crackdown

    DOA Xtreme 2

    Fable II

Game of Thrones (It's on PC but I figure it will be delisted at some point due to licensing issues)

    Infinite Undiscovery

    Kameo Elements of Power

Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom

    NeverDead

    Ninety Nine Nights

    Otomedius Excellent

    Project Sylpheed

    Ridge Racer 6

    Soul Calibur IV

    TNA Impact

    The Darkness

    Too Human

I'm currently hunting for those games (I might not get all of them):

50 Cents Blood on the Sand

    Armored Core 4

    Beautiful Katamari

    Blue Dragon

    Conan

    Crackdown 2

    Dead or Alive 4

    Def Jam Icon

    Driver San Francisco

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard

FEAR (on PC but pretty expensive on 360, worth collecting)

    Full Auto

    Import Tuner Challenge

    Kengo Legend of the Nine

    Konami Classics Vol 1

    Lost Odyssey

    Magna Carta 2

    Mayhem 3D

    Ninety Nine Nights 2

    Ninja Blade

    Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad

    Operation Darkness

    Rumble Roses XX

    Samurai Shodown Sen

Sneak King (and the other 2 Burger King games)

    Splatterhouse

    Stranglehold

    The Simpsons Game

    Wet

I know it already cover quite a lot but I can't help but shake the feeling I'm forgetting some important games/hidden gems.

  7. I'm probably alone on this but I much prefer practical ports and remasters of classics. They're cheap and won't mess up with the experience you have nostalgia for, it will simply improve the visuals quality and bring needed quality of life improvements, while releasing the games on more accessible modern day platforms. It's all I need.

FF8 Remaster and Pixel Remaster 1-6 are perfect. Greatly improve the experience while still being the same games.

I kinda like what Capcom did with RE4 though. I guess sometimes it does work out in the end to take some creative liberties. I still haven't played the game though. lol

Yeah, there's too many remakes. FF7 is at least different in a way thats interesting. But I think they're going to play it a lot more safe with FFIX since its not as popular or revered. They definitely won't stretch it past 1 game, thats for sure.

Agreed, it will be a lower budget and effort than FF7 Rebirth for sure.

  9. Gaming sucks so hard now. :D The original FFVII, RE2, 3, 4, FFIX and Persona 3 are still totally fine as they are.

Even worse, the originals tend to be much, much better than their remakes. (Re2, re3, FF7) Not even a contest.

At least remake games that aged terribly or something. I had no issue when they remade RE1, because RE1 graphics and presentation were always fucking terrible and laughably bad since day one.

Meanwhile, these remake serves no other purpose than to release the same games, which are still really good today, to a new generation of retarded gamers.

Why are you guys even arguing about Infinite's PC player base? Nobody on PC gives a fuck about that series.

Halo Master Chief collection is usually among the top sellers on steam when it goes on sale.

It's just a decline of gamers interests and lost of prestige for the Halo franchise, it's on a downward spiral since Halo 4. Compare this to the hype around the Halo 3 launch and it's huge online community that persisted for years.

    -trails 1-3

    -zero, azure

    -cold steel 1-4, reverie

if you can figure out the atelier series, that would be something :ben:

It's not that old of a franchise so it is a lot to manage for any newcomer. I played one Trails game on PSP, turned around and there were 5 games on PS3. It's all trash anyway.

Atelier is far older but yeah... :ben:  The naming convention makes it ever harder.

IDGAF about Kwanza or Juneteeth. IDGAF about any Jewish holidays either. However if I hosted a show, and I didnt criticize or attack any public holidays other than Jewish ones, chances are people would think I have an issue with Jews. Rightfully so.

You need to stop watching DailyWire.

None of these problems are entirely new or exclusive to social media. An awkward person irl could potentially thrive online, or be just as awkward. Tinder might speed run someone through their paces but it also allows people to cast wider nets. Online dating definitely has issues, but more or less I find it on par with irl dating, except where in person I'm FAR less likely to approach a stranger and ask them out. The PUA grifters definitely turned lonely boy's issues into money and that helped build redpill fandom but it's still just reprocessed misogyny at its core. These are not clever people. Andrew Tate is not smart, Peal is not smart, Fresh and Fit are not smart, Kevin Samuels was not smart. They have to rely on pre-established misconceptions and drawing illogical connections in order to sell their theories. So the foundation of all of their platform is anti-feminism

I can see your logic, yeah. You're making sense.

You're gonna hate me for saying that but I really think Andew Tate has a good message (out of a 100), I heard him something the other day which is pretty much an aspect of classic stoic philosophy, he wasn't being super smart or anything but it seem like it came from a genuine place. He was saying basically that a person doesn't grow without overcoming challenges, or pain, there's no light, without dark. Nothing that is worth doing, is easy, basically.

And I was like yeah, that's a very good message. I see nothing wrong with that. A good thing to say to a bunch of young kids who stay home playing too many games being afraid of trying.

I don't care for the other you mentioned. I hold a particular hatred for the dude who host the Whatever podcast, whoever he is. Oh my god. ''What's your body count?'' ''Ok, guys, what do you bring a relationship and why do you expect a traditional man when you are not a traditional woman?''

Oh my god, how many times can they repeat the same taking points do you think? Jesus. I can see that those people are set in stone in their belief and will never admit to anything else.

emember when Trump called that CNN host nasty because she kept trying to get him to answer her questions then you laughed with him and then you called her a bitch? But you do believe in protecting women from trans people as much as possible right?

Yeah dude, she was being really rude, cutting him off constantly, challenging him at every turn, being condescending and confrontational while supposedly being the host. You clearly didn't watch it. She was a nasty woman, Remy. A nasty woman doesn't mean all women. Take your alleged misogyny elsewhere.

Now I need to finish this joint.
