Not really, no. Chrono Trigger was a crowning achievement back when it came out. Surely you must have played it years after its initial release and have a distorted view.

 

Either way, I played them all and it's still in my top 5, call it nostalgia tainted view if you want, I know what I played as a kid rocked my world and still does to this day.

 

Please tell me how it's supposed to be overrated exactly?

Playing Okami HD. It looks stunning in HD and I'm enjoying it even more than when I played the PS2 version before.

 

My only problem with this port is the draw distance for objects, it hasn't been improved at all, everything else looks amazing and is a considerable improvement however.

AFAIK it's the social hooks that has GD wanting more lol.

I know but there really aren't many games that does that, at least none that are on the level of quality of the Persona games so he might as well play the main series in the meantime.

P1 and P2 are so different from P3 and P4 that to you, you'll find everything you like about P3 and P4 to not be present in P2. And if you found P3P's dated interface and presentation jarring, P2 is even worse.

 

After you finish P3 i'd recommend you just wait for P5 which is confirmed to be in development.

 

Or buy SMTIV when it comes out for 3DS this summer.

 

While it doesn't have the social aspect of the Persona games, you're going to feel familiar with the battle system from the get go. I personally prefer the real series over Persona, simply because of the darker setting and style. SMT Nocturne was amazing, the art style is one of my favorite in any game ever.

Meh, i am not in the mood for a slow paced adventure game. I actually don't even like the genre besides the Ace Attorney series. I guess that leaves Dragon Quest VI as my next DS purchase.

I just beat Ghost Trick. Shu Takumi Hopefully they hurry up and localize Miles Edgeworth 2 asap.

Godly shit. This is imo the best looking game on the platform. The visuals are unique.

I'm hooked on Demon's Souls at the moment. 2012 is real.

Ghost Trick is absolutely fucking amazing. Superb pacing, brilliant puzzles, stylish visuals, excellent writing, cool soundtrack, interesting story and characters. Easily rivals the best of the Phoenix Wright series.

Finally got around to playing Persona 3 and after spending an hour and a half with it I feel like it's done nothing but waste my fuckin' time. The only gameplay I've gotten is moving my cursor to select a response. If this game is seriously nothing but a cheesy high school sim then tell me now so I can send this shit back to GF. I thought this was suppose to be an RPG...

Keep playing, once you go into the tower it turns into hardcore RPG dungeon crawling. It actually strike a good balance between day time (sim aspect) and night time (RPG combat aspect) but it does take quite some time for the game to pick up.

I haven't played Ghost Trick yet. Currently playing Planescape Torment for the first time.

I suggest checking the tutorials at the arena right off the bat, the game doesn't explain you anything otherwise and the combat system is quite complex.

Anyone here plays SSFIV on PS3? I'm not good at it yet, scrubs beat me sometimes with their bullshit. I'm looking for some friendly games so i can practice without receiving angry pms from virgins.

I'm at the last boss of Demon's Souls, currently trying to find as much ores as i can before starting my new game+. I also need to spend my remaining Demon's Souls into creating new weapons, and grind to raise my stats a bit.

Cameras has never really bothered me in any game as long as i get to control them somehow. I remember when people cried about the camera in NG and then i started playing it and i was like ''that's it, that's what everyone are complaining about?'''. It's something that doesn't stop me from enjoying a good game.

Anyway you can pirate games on a PSP-3000 yet?

Just buy your games. PSP games are pretty cheap.
