  1. been on an rpg kick, - went back to Blue Dragon on 360 for one reason or another I didnt finish it last time. this time Ive gotten pretty far, and I must say it is a pretty underrated game. It is not one of the best looking games or one of the most innovative but I find the toriyama look pleasant. It fits the ridiculous story a lot better than some of the other more realistic rpgs out there.

  2. Dayum the first few hours of Gungnir is crazy. The game opens up fairly standard with getting know some characters and their backstory setting up your party members and who you believe will be your supporting cast for the entire game. After a few hours you're all captued by the villain and tied up and they all have their heads chopped off (minus the main character). No melodrmatic scene and sappy music, straight up exectued and dumped in the river.

    Shit took me off guard.

its in my list right now, Sting <3

do you know if Unchained Blades is available in the us yet?

  3. - got M. Edge the other day, I had it before but somehow never clicked with me. This time I actually sat down, and paid attention, it is a good game but I wish they would remove those awful sections where you have to use hand to hand and or gun mechanics, they suck pretty bad. The levels so far are pretty good, partly due to the clean sharp look of the game. the story itself is forgettable, I am almost done with it and I cannot recall anything worth talking about. - I ordered Lost in Blue 3, the other day, that will be my next play, love survival games

  4. got P3 portable in the mail yesterday, I'll start that, on the side, I am still chipping away at Hot Pursuit, think the game has become repetitive it was fun for the first 4 hours or so, now it has fallen into the same bs routine of racing games, shitty races to unlock more and better cars, ugh think Ive seen enough

The races and hot pursuit modes are fun, but I could take or leave things like the time trials.

to be honest I think I am burnout of racing games, no pun intended. They are not very fun to me anymore, even the arcade ones; think last time I enjoyed a racing game was sega rally evo the remake for 360/ps3 had a really nice arcade dont give a shit feel to it.
  5. had some time this weekend,

    - Played the first episode of the walking dead game, it was ok, nothing extraordinary but its worth the $5 imo. the graphics are kinda shitty.

    - Started played Yggdra Union for PSP, so far I like it a lot. usually it takes me a bit to get going with Tactical RPGs but this one was different, very easy to pick up and go. then again its Sting <3

    - Continued my long and ardous travels un Amalur, wtf happened to this game? so much potential

    - Started Binary Domain, I like it more than what i expected. the shooting feels great imo, and the look of the game is interesting in a way it feels like an arcade game, something closer to Outrigger than Gears.

Great game. It really still has the best gameplay of all of Sting's games thus far. I still like Riviera more though

are you planning on getting gungnir?

also wtf happenned to Grand Knights History, shit was supposed to be out last month :|

  7. almost done with uncharted 3, something is missing with this one. It is a very good game but it doesnt have that punch the second one did, partly because it reiterates on the formula that made the second one stand out. The very 1-5 chapters are great, and it presents a nice alternative to the somewhat predictable beginnings of an Uncharted game.

The story is still as good as ever, specially for someone like me who has read multiple works about the Age of Discovery. I'll probably finish it tonight or tomorrow.

  8. Also I started Kingdoms of Amalur, - Game feels like a single player MMO, the world is laid out in a way that resembles mmo's with semi open spaces connected with linear corridors, each space has a hub with all the vendors near each other. Most NPC's are really static with very little personality whose purpose is only to act as a checkpoint for the next phase of a determined quest. I got this strong vibe from those starting zones in WoW (Burning Crusade), actually I'd go as far to say that WoW has a more handcrafted world. - The combat is ok, the movement feels a little janky, but how the melee and magic works is competent, in a way it feels like an evolution of Fable 1, it requires to block and evade and the use of the appropiate tactic for enemies. I also forgot to mention, the enemies names are colored, and the color represents the level of diffculty (white-yellow-red-orange) like a fucking mmo :| - The story itself is somewhat interesting but I cant take it very seriously because the art design looks like WoW, some of the hubs or areas look very good, but when you are out in the world questing everything is very MMO like with enemies who patrol the world in a very specific fashion and respawning enemies. I am going to keep playing it to see how the game evolves from this point forward, but it feels very mechanical.

  9. finished Mass Effect over the weekend, - there is a huge disconnect how 3 idiots saved the world, I get that Bioware are trying to tell a story but tech limitations prevent it from reaching the same levels of epicness. but moving from small 3 vs 10 battles in very secluded, limited almost claustrophobic spaces does not feel like saving the world. It almost feels silly that Shephard and 2 other idiots manage to save the world using pistols and rifles :| - Most of the Citadel quests are really lame, revolving around relics and all kinds of artifacts found in the rest of the planets. - I was expecting Bioware to fledge out the rest of the world, Krogan, Turians, Salarians, planets were really tiny. - The ending was rushed, those videos on the cerberus base were just silly, looked like crap, just make them audio logs. - Loading screens are garbage, we already discussed it in the OT. - I upgraded my weapons just before the Cerberus mission, there is no noticeable difference or motivation to keep buying new items. - The dialog in this game was weak, at the end I mostly skipped the conversation, pandering to the lonely geeks searching for virtual space booty was ridiculous. To be honest I think this is the weakest of the 3 games, I liked 2 better, then 1 had the best lore and story, 3 was just stupid.
