Actually Sony were the ones that started with this next gen tax.

Aaaaand you're back to being a complete fucking retard, shame I had hope for you for a second there :reg:

So your complaint is that $70 digital gakes cost the same as $70 retail games, even though there's no manufacturing costs.....but when the same was true with $60 digital games and $60 retail games, THEN it was fine

Excusing Microsofts history of lies and what I was getting at with a quick "but sony :lemming: " really kills all hope I had for you entering this thread. Stay sucking xdick fgt.

  2. When they told you games would be cheaper when they would no longer have to produce physical copies, that was just a lie to get you on board. Now they have more control over pricing and access to that content.

The penny just dropped for this lemkid who after all his time on the Earth only just realized that corporations lie. Maybe now is a good time for you to go back and look through the history of things Microsoft has ever said :den:

  3. It's fine for what it is, a way to essentially handheld your PS5 arund the house. If its android thats even better as then it has more functionality, if its not then its pretty limiting and hopefully cheap to compensate.

Its for a niche but it does exactly what you would expect.

  4. It's sad but inevitable. "You'll own nothing and be happy", more control for them and less for you. This is why its better to invest in PC, at least you will have backwards compatability, picking the best optin if/when it comes to it.

I think download speeds need to increase for gaming though, some countries are stuck with primitive speeds (my own included). Downloading every game when they are 100gig+ is not feasible.

Jez is stupid.  Series S was a good idea and is the reason why MS is still in business.  The cost for MS to make Series X's is apparently prohibitively high, which is why they're manufacturing far less of them and using the ones they have in the cloud servers..  they don't want to build Series X consoles and lose so much money.

If it wasn't for the Series S, MS would sell some more Series X consoles, sure, but they'd be losing more money with every one sold, and it wouldn't make up for the loss of Series S sales.  Series X was never going to sell like the PS5 was... they would have "lost" either way.. and they chose the cheaper way to lose.

Again, the Series S, as much as developers may bitch about it.... isn't the big issue..  Microsoft's own developers would have to target medium and low spec PCs regardless, so their developers would already be doing a lot of the work to get these games running on those systems anyway.  For Microsoft it just made obvious sense to do it.  Obviously the big issue with the Series S is the memory, and yes it's going to be challenging to get a lot of stuff working optimally for it... but that's the fucking point.  Developers are supposed to find creative solutions and solve these problems.  Steam Deck is running Ratchet and Clank for christ sake.  2GB GPUs can run the game...  Remember back in the day when Angel Studios ported RE2 to the Nintendo 64, cutscenes and all audio?  Was told it couldn't be done.. and the went and did it.

Of course they'll bitch about it... but they'll get the job done.. no matter the sacrifices that need to be made.

Microsoft just wanted a cheap piece of shit so they could flood the market of people just looking for a CoD box or parwnts who pick it up for their kids and don't know any better. Microsodt didnt give a fuck about how it would impact games or perform because Microsoft has never cared about the games, they're only in this for the control.

So how'd that work out? cmpunk1.png

The point was Xbox shills were spinning a narrative that only the CMA was against it and everyone else approved. The FTC was against it, and the EU required some things. Just because the FTC is a wet blanket as corporations run America, it doesn't mean that the major regulators don't have concerns :umad:

Its funny if you cheer for ms twinkie, you'll be the first to cry when they're raising sub prices or locking content behind their own store, and enforcing DRM on the os itself.

I think it might be because everything is the same. Not trolling i feel like Sonys games are just the same old bullshit. Its tired. Same with most of the big AAA pubs. Not many chances taken anymore and most of the indie stuff is the same too. And junk.

  8. - Company makes shit product

    - Shit product doesn't sell

    - Company buys out the industry to withold games from other platforms and force people to buy their product.

That's such a Microsoft approach. A lot of companies will try to improve their product to improve sales, but with Microsoft through years of Xbox, Windows, Windows phones, Mixer, Internet explorer etc etc they have barely improved what made their products shit and instead their effort was focused on making competing products worse or held back in some way. Doesn't matter if thwir products are popular like windows/IE, or flops like Xbox, it's always about degrading the other products rather than improving your own, and the world ends up with worse products because of it.

Microsoft truly is the worst company in the world and I wish the worst upon the people running it.

And yet both can be true at the same time. This forum can be gay, and it can be boring which is why I'm so infrequently here.

I couldn't care less about Xbox, it's just enjoyable when something positive happens for them because it drives you people absolutely bonkers..

Infrequently here? You've been posting non-stop since xbox got some good news :hest:

To your second point the only person driven bonkers by xbox news is yourself, thats's why you went into hiding as xbox was a laughing stock for years. Newsfladh, it's still a laughing stock and your games are years away :kaz:

    You're really not that interesting.

    And yet you're here :trump:

Aftwr claiming this forum was "gay as fuck and boring" and thst you had better forums to post on. What happened to those? Why do you onpy post on systemwars at times which coincide with positive news for Microsoft?

Its almost as if you want to post here but can't handle your plastic box being the butt of all jokes (because it sucks).

You just know if this thing passed DynaFlop and JenB were going to do their quarterly login and claim ownage :roff: Instead they're lurking with tears in their eyes and a whole lotta salt

This one was bang on :tom: They refused to log in but were clearly lurking because Dynaflop has been hanging around here like a bad smell all week.

Imagine being close to 40, and leaving a forum because you can't handle people making fun of your plastic box, and like a child....pretending you don't like nor care foe the forum at all but running back the moment you think it's safe to post here again without your favourite plastic box being riddiculed :kaz:

It would show regulators/judges that they don't keep their word under oath... they REALLY don't want to do that if they ever plan on acquiring anything else...

The regulators know from decades pf histoey that they can't trust a word that comes from any of the sleazeballs at Microsoft, but ir doesn't matter because the law in the US pretty much lets corporations do whatever they want.

Satya and Phil swore under oath that they would honor the deal and not remove COD from Playstation... but that was incumbent on Sony signing the deal.

Regardless, you can bet that a stipulation of the CMA agreeing to anything will be that deal being offered whether Sony signs or not.  And now that Sony has signed, it's very likely the CMA is satisfied and they've come to an agreement.

Believing a word they say :tom:

Thinking anything would happen to them if they broke that oath :tom:

Sony looks so pathetic here lol.

"Oh shit it's actually happening, we need to sign that shit fast!"

    :mj:

Almost as pathetic as someome who says he hates this forum and its members, yet keeps posting here :trump2:

"Xbox isn't a complete laughing stock anymore now that daddy microsoft bailed them out, now I can post on systemwars again!"
