Game is really solid so far. Combat definitely has a learning curve, but when all the mechanics come together and click its quite satisfying. The soundtrack is pretty great too 

If people don’t want to change their lifestyle for the better that’s on them but the worst is the whole ‘healthy at any size’ movement. How delusional do you have to be to think you’re somehow healthy while morbidly obese.

MS’ strategy all along was to make their ports bad that way people will instead find ways to play the games on Xbox/PC instead. Genius 

I actually went out with an obese girl recently because I figured I’m at the point where I can try to be open minded and give everyone a chance. Then when I  heard her heavy breathing over the movie we were watching I realized I made  a big mistake.

The Good

• Excellent 2D artwork and superb soundtrack
• Well-done narrative that keeps you eager to see what happens next
• Characters brimming with uniqueness and personality that are fun to recruit and interact with
• Satisfying army- and base-building element

The Bad

• Boss fight gimmicks are hit or miss, with some difficulty spikes
• Army battles are plodding and dull

 I looked up the demo area. It’s from the beginning and includes some of my least favorite puzzles in the entire game, so just be aware of that. 
 

but its a good teaser as far as the general atmosphere and storytelling is concerned.

Without spoiling much the game in general actually reminded me quite a bit of SOMA.

They did just release the game on consoles but I heard the controls aren't great, its definitely designed for a mouse. However it might work well on a Steam Deck when using the trackpads if you want to give it a try.

What an awesome surprise this ended up being. I can't believe I glazed over this game so many times since the original release last year, all because of the dumb title.

i'd say maybe 15% of the puzzles are kind of bullshit and illogical but everything else about the game is great. Atmosphere, Characters, story, and the fucked up setting and imagery. The game is dark in ways I wasn't expecting but was pleasantly surprised by.

I don't want to go into more detail than that because I went into the game almost blind and I think thats the best way to experience it. All in all I think this is the best adventure game i've played since SOMA.

But we don't play as those aging women in most games. Stellar Blade's character is clearly in her 20s, and she's supposed to be a trained soldier. In that context her physique is not THAT far off from that of a physically active girl in her 20s.

New games aren't going anywhere... they'll be there when you finish the last one you started.

Yeah I like to play many games, which is why I don't want every game to be 50+ hours long. If that was the case and I committed to finishing them, I would be playing a fraction of the games i'd want to play.

Nah there's just too many long fucking games nowdays. Its the same reason why I didn't finish BG3 last year. I don't have the patience or attention span anymore to be able to dedicate so much time to a single game especially when there's others releasing on the horizon.

Its a 7 quality game so the reviews were accurate, but I wouldn't say its shit.

do they recommend a graphics mode? I liked Balanced in the demo, so I might stick with that for the full game.

The whole logic is just retarded. If you're a young and healthy girl in your 20s you are more likely to look closer to the Stellar Blade character in appearance than the fat slob above. So saying thats not a realistic body type but the fat one is, makes little sense. 

I thought jonb had given up acid, but I guess this thread is proof that he hasn't 

40 hours into Rise of The Ronin and with no end in sight I think I might drop it when Stellar Blade releases. The game is many ways AC: Japan which would be an incredible compliment a decade ago. But nowadays it just feels dated and bloated and the setting isn't enough to carry it all the way through.
