A crash is what most news channel reported. My first thought was that it is probably not an accident, no one in their right mind would think Putin is incapable of such an act.

What I find strange is Putin definitely had plans for Pregozhin and the Wagner PMC in Africa. They were there just a few days ago.

It wasn't a crash at all. There's footage of the smoke trail left behind by the missile. And the plane plunges uncontrollably from the sky while on fire which confirms it was struck by something.

I want 1440p and 60fps. HDR sure but not to concerned about it. All the monitors i see are 144+. I guess i can use adaptive sync to halve it to 72? Idk man idk about monitors. I have a cheap samsung monitor now and i think its nice.

At the very least, you'll want to get one that supports G-Sync since you have a Nvidia card. The ASUS one you posted only supports FreeSync (which is AMD tech) so it works best with AMD builds.

  3. It took me a while to decide on a monitor and I payed more than I would have liked as there are many different things you want to take into consideration. Do you want a 2k, 4K, or Ultra wide with a 21:9 based resolution (like 3440 x 1440)? Do you want a LCD, LED, or OLED panel? Do you want HDR, if so what rating? What refresh rate do you want? What response time?

Most monitors rarely offer everything unless you're willing to fork out a significant amount of money.

I hear TB complaining about no support too much to get one of those

The support is all over the place. Sometimes you'll play a big  Triple A game that doesn't support it or only partially supports. But then you'll play a smaller indie game that supports it during gameplay and cutscenes. Ultimately it comes down to the engine and how lazy developers decide to be.

I thought Putin was a mad man though.

And here you go trying to make Putin seem like a reasonable person. He's a genocidal maniac, but even he has limits just like every other leader. He's too scared to even fully mobilize Russia for this war, yet alone use nukes. Unlike Ukraine Russia isn't facing an existential threat of any kind. This is a war of their making and they have the power to stop the killing and end it whenever they want.

Because it's perpetuating a conflict that could go nuclear and it won't matter if I'm Canadian.

For someone who is constantly bitching about the media's fear mongering when it comes to COVID I find it pretty amusing how you're scared of a nuclear conflict that has no chance of happening. Putin knows MAD is a thing and would guarantee that his family would cease to exist like everyone else. He's not going to do that over a chunk of another country that will never be recognized as being part of Russia.

Russia produce 3-4 times more weapons than before the war. I understand they face logistical issues on critical components or materials due to sanctions but that hasn't stopped them.

I never heard anything about Ukraine arms productions. I assumed it was practically non existent. Interesting.

They have a lot of stuff people don't know about it. They were in the final stages of producing their own long range ballistic missile called the HRIM-2 when the war broke out. There have been some mysterious long range strikes on occupied territory before Ukraine even received storm shadow missiles. They're suspected to have been done by these

They're also increasing production of their own 155mm Self Propelled Howitzer the Bohdana. Like NATO artillery it has a longer range than any Soviet Union era guns

They also just tested a new underwater drone with a range of 1000km

    The Good
The worldbuilding and lore are interesting to uncover and read through
The environmental undertones to the story add a fun wrinkle to the by-the-book military war shooter story
The color-coded shooter elements work well in the first half of the story when combat is more managable and enemies don't have massive health pools

    The Bad
Repetitive enemy design and arena layout leave combat feeling stale, stretching out the game beyond its welcome
Control scheme makes it difficult to manage every option at your disposal during combat, especially on a controller, making many firefights feel overwhelming to overcome
The protagonist, Jak, isn't all that likable or interesting

    You playing tactician?

Lol no. I don't want to make it harder for myself, unlike JA3 the combat isn't the draw of the game. But after everything I heard im just surprised I have been able to cruise through most of the battles i've done on the default difficulty.
