It takes gimmicks for the Xjoke to even be on par with the PS5. The PS5 which doesn't even have the option for VRR enabled within the current firmware yet. Sony didn't need that gimmick to make their games run well. Yet, when they do enable it and it is coming in the next patch since its already in beta, the Xjoke is toast. If PS5 runs it better in non-VRR mode, imagine what it's going to do with VRR turned on.

The VRR covering up the drops in framerate doesn't cause game breaking immersion. It doesn't stop the fact that they said in non-VRR mode, they preferred the PlayStation. When VRR is keyed on, XJoke will have nothing on the console. Right now, they have the VRR gimmick to themselves.

When you have superior hardware you don't need to rely on gimmicks to do thy bidding.

So do I but not needing to run VRR on my $2000 TV makes life even better. Imagine spending $400 bucks on a system, then needing a $2000 tv to cover up the frame drops. Should have just bought your ass a PC for that price.
