SotC is still phenomenal, I get chills every time the music swells around a Colossi and then the change once you finally embark on your climb. The HD paint is pretty nice but the most noticeable thing is the performance. IMO what keeps this game from aging poorly is how impressive the animation stuff is.

So true. What I find amazing is that, yea sure the PS2 had problems running the game, but this small ass team was pushing the hardware in ways never seen before. The animation, the scale... everything.

I'm playing Demon's Souls for the first time right now and I'm falling into the "I played Dark Souls first and now I'm having a hard time getting into Demon's Souls" camp. After playing a lot of Dark Souls last fall and Dragon's Dogma right before Demon's Souls, the game feels like a lot of work for a pretty predictable experience. I think I need to space these games out more so I'm going to put Demon's Souls away for now.

Yea, it really goes down to which game you play first tbh. Both are amazing first time experiences. I'm glad I played Demon's Souls first though. And most people seem to agree it had better artistic level designs, although Dark Souls is really no slouch.

So it's a 4x4. makes sense.. 4 cores.. with 4 virtual cores each.

Yea, it makes sense why someone might think it has 16 cores... but "threads" should have been the word used.

Still, this thing will be a beast when the games developed actually take advantage of all of that.

They will now and they won't have a choice. I wish they would have gone with at least 6 cores tho.

We'll have to wait till we find out more about the console's architecture before we'll really know if it really would benefit to have more physical cores or not.
