Think Dark souls is just a more refined version. I do like some of the levels in DeSo but the world is so much cooler being connected. The upgrading and magic has all been streamlined, and the covenants really add some PvP variety. What platform you get DS for GD? I'm thinking about starting a new character I I'd like to coop. I definitely know my way around the first two thirds of the game. I'm on 360.
Demon's Souls is better than Dark Souls in many ways... but that's obviously just my opinion. I loved the whole Nexus and the level design was amazing. (same with Dark Souls I know) but Dark Souls has nothing as good as The Tower of Latria. And the NPCs were better in Demon's Souls. I loved how Mephistopheles actually started killing people in the Nexus if you weren't careful. And I am a huge fan of World and Character Tendencies.
Demon's Souls
The world tendencies was cool in theory but it was too difficult to come back from the extremes.
Getting from Pure Black to Pure White took multiple playthroughs, but fuck was the feeling of accomplishment ever great.
I agree about the world being all connected though. Dark Souls has some fucking crazy level design for sure. But Demon's Souls has the advantage of being the first game I played. I could totally see many people feeling that Dark Souls is better if it is their first experience. I agree that overall Dark Souls > Demon's Souls.

4 cores at 4 threads each apparently.
Still impressed with that. 16 cores blew me away and I couldn't believe it but 4 cores with 4 hw threads per is still amazing. Most modern games still aren't using the entire 4 cores in pc gaming.

I think episode 5 really shaped my whole view of the game and left me with a great final impression.i'm really digging episode 5 of alan wake. i kinda wish all the levels paired you with someone. i'm starting to finally get into the characters.
also like crazy monkey said, the game has great level design. damn they really went above and beyond for the game world.
SpoilerDude the part in the town with the sheriff is awesome. Really has that zombie invasion feel. It's a pretty bad movie but that part reminds me of that Eight Legged Freaks movie . Just running around an old country town gunning down zombies is ownageThe music at the end of that chapter is ownage.
wtf did you play through it all?Nope. I've been watching a friend of mine play it a bit. Just so happened he finished that chapter when I was there. :] TBH, I will probably play it when I have time for it.

I think it's lived up to my expectations. I mean after beating it, I'm having a hard time thinking of what gameplay elements they could've added to mix up the gameplay. Maybe more puzzles like GD said, but they have to make sense in the context of the game, not be like Resident Evil's illogical ones.I'm not really hating on the game.
Just the fact that is wasn't what the lemmings were hoping for. Much like God of War 3 for myself.
It could have been like what it was supposed to be before. :reggie:
Don't act like you don't know what I mean.
It's basically, run, get manuscript, shoot bad guys, dodge furniture or machinery, cutscene, repeat.
:reggie:
It has the same structure as games like Uncharted 2 and Max Payne. It's a tps. I don't want pointless open world fetch quest ish. Like I said though, more puzzles would've been nice.Dude, it's a corridor fetch quest. How's that better than an open world one?
And you are belittling what it was ACTUALLY supposed to be like. The gameplay could have been MUCH different.
But hey, if you are happy with it..then it's all good.

Still, this thing will be a beast when the games developed actually take advantage of all of that.
