Sea of Stars is AWESOME. Just took the pirate ship to the island, Definitely gunning for a spot in my top 10 of the year.

It was almost always considered the worst zelda.

I don't think they sell it anymore (probably for that reason).

Tbh D4 was almost a given considering how bad Blizzard has been in the last 10 years. Bethesda was really in the same boat just with less output so we shouldn't be too surprised. Plus the Microsoft effect.

i wiped that one from my memory. But no, you’re right. that said I can kind of understand that one since the reviewers probably just played through the campaign which is serviceable and while the signs are there, it really doesn’t start to suck until about 10-15 hours into end game.

Bout an hour into Sea of Stars, alright way more cool than the Field of Stars. The music from the first dungeon area gives me big Celeste vibes.

I gotta upgrade this year. XR starting to show its age. My phone doesn't get nearly as much use as it did in the past now that I work from home. Mostly just for texting, music when im walking the dog/at the gym, taking pictures of the dog, or web browsing. I'll probably just get whatever the entry model is for the 15, or if it's not that big of an upgrade I'll jump on a discounted 14.

Yeah this is basically where I’m at after 15 hours or so. there’s some things about the game I like, I think it’s got a cool aesthetic, I really like the space punk style. The combat is honestly better than I thought it would be for a Bethesda game. Some of the main story quests are alright and the faction quests seem solid. my issues: -exploring is worthless. Anything that’s not on the critical (main quest or important side quest) just seems like a waste. Literally no reason to land on a random part of a planet, all you’ll find is a barren wasteland. Probably not? Most of the ones I want have probably already been ported to PC where I'd rather play them. I don't much use the portable mode for my Switch, most for indie type games or if I'm playing the older nintendo catalogue (SNES stuff). Maybe if they vastly improved the controllers when in portable mode i'd use it more.

Nintendo won't make a game like Tsushima cause they're talented and not in the business of making soulless "AAA production" games. They'll use the power of the console for much more interesting things. Nintendo has always pushed their hardware - TOTK, Luigi's Mansion 3, Mario Odyssey are three examples of it this gen.

Armoured Core is such a fantastic game to play. Running a dual gatling gun build with a pile driver, super quick to stagger with the gatlings and then i go in for the melee and wreck everything.

Game is fun but super uneven. Seriously lacking polish. There's aspects of it that are amazing - aesthetically, the music, the perks are interesting, main quest seems solid. Some of it is just okay - gunplay is better than FO but nothing great. Some of it just plain sucks - space stuff just seems like a waste of time, the map and inventory are inexcusably awful, everything around the UI just seems half baked or poorly thought out.
