I saw the movie with my nephews over the weekend. It was pretty much what I expected. Super safe entry into the movie space, very true to the source material. Incredible animation. Music was 50/50...licensed shit was trash (any movie that has thunderstruck on their soundtrack loses points), but the takes on classic Mario songs were awesome. Story was just whatever. Cool callbacks to basically every important Mario game though. Would love to see what they could do with some of their other IPs....Zelda obviously at the top of the list.

1 > 3 > 2 > 5 > 4 imo.

Been playing FFVI pixel remaster. Been a while since I played through this game, they did a great job with the updates. Being able to pump the XP up a bit (especially when you're trying to get your party to learn spells) makes it a lot more manageable to just casually play through. Amazing game all things considered, probably my favourite JRPG. Not sure what other ones I'll check out - probably go through 4, haven't played that in forever. Never played 1-3 so I might check out one of those at some point just to see where it all started.

yeah sekiro generally lacks the exploration of the soulsborne games. its areas are very self contained and it's much more focused on the action. so if that's not your jam, you made the right call. DS/DS3 DLCs are both great options.

It should be a new main game at this point. Odyssey is years old and we've heard nothing of what's next. I'd be absolutely shocked if Switch 2 doesn't launch with a new mainline mario.

Would be cool for sure but it’s Nintendo so I won’t hold my breath. but yeah if there’s anything to this rumour than I imagine it’s a TOTK port and a new Mario game. splatoon I’m split on, could see them just going some deluxe route with 3 and porting that, it hasn’t been out too long. It’s also pretty damn popular so maybe they get away with a splatoon 4 at this point.

You're a beast man lol. Chewing through these games. I know you said you're getting into Burning Shores next. But, if and when you get the urge for some more FROM stuff, I'd reallllly recommend Sekiro. It definitely strays the furthest from the formula, but I think you'll dig it.

yeah tbh my plan is probably to sell in a few years and bounce to calgary lol. GTA is obnoxious these days. hindsight i wish i just stretched myself thin and bought something immediately after school, but oh well.

I'd probably do it on NG just given how quick it is to get through BB. You can also access it fairly early so you don't need to complete the game - you will want some decent levels though. probably some of the hardest bosses in the series, so yeah, NG+ might be a bitch.

Yeah certainly not official but there was definitely points in that trailer that looked far more dungeony than what we saw in BOTW.

That was the situation here like 3 years ago when we were buying. It's settled down a bit with the interest rates but yeah. I remember we offered like 750 on one listed at 7 and it sold for 850 But from the agents perspective, listing below market value gets more people in the door and creates the bidding war. We learned pretty quick that in most cases the price aint the price.
