I agree going multiplat is good for these smaller studios but Sony has traditionally relied on their 2nd parties to boost their exclusive offerings. At the least, they serve as good fillers in between big releases. With MS aggressively courting them (including some of those Sony 2nd parties), Sony may soon find themselves in trouble. Ninja Theory's next game will not be on Playstation, same for other mid size studios like Obsidian. RAD is heavily linked with MS and I'm pretty sure they will not stop there.

So Sony has lost several 2nd parties this gen. Supermassive, Housemarque, and now Quantic Dream all going multiplat. If you are arguing that quality exclusives sell consoles then yes I agree, of course it does duh. But I would say getting major 3rd party games releasing on your platform is far more important. They make up 95% of the game releases and not having a major 3rd party game on your platform gives the other console an automatic "console exclusive". Its the reason PS1 and PS2 trounces their competition despite not having stellar 1st party, 90% of 3rd party games were exclusive to Sony at that time! As for Nintendo Switch, you have to take into account that they are combining their handhel

So this thread is now about sales or exclusives? Never said it's a huge accomplishment or anything but getting major 3rd party games released on your platform is crucial. It's something Switch is still unable to achieve with all that record breaking sales. Yeah the Xbox One could definitely do better with their exclusives. But that has little to do with sales, the platform holder is still gonna release their games on their platform no matter what.

Lol you fucking missed my point. This thread is mocking Xbox One sales but that's not affecting them getting the major 3rd party games so who cares? Sales don't affect the number of first party games(exclusives), the platform holder is gonna support it no matter what unless it is a total flop like the Vita where sinking more money into it no longer make sense.

I liked it at first but there are many better games out there more worth your time tbh. Good: Big beautiful immersive world with interesting characters. Music and visual presentation are top notch. Bad: Gameplay is where it fell short, along with clunky controls. It also has no respect for the gamer's time.
