The jury is still out but I wouldn’t be too confident. I think MS might be about to find you can’t just buy the console war when you finally realise you’ve lost after 20 years of trying to win it organically. 

If my wife fucks around on my prime account I sometimes end up buying things with her credit card details or the wrong address or something, I immediately cancel it and reorder. Last week I did this twice in like 5 minutes.

I cancel shit all the time and never have an issue.

I'm intrigued to see a challenger go into combat, the UK has never lost one in battle and there are some crazy stories out there including about one them getting show with about 70 RPG's. The reality is the worst they've encountered is a poorly equipped Iraqi army but still, it will be interesting.  

I upgraded my CPU 2 years ago and price wise an equivalent Ryzen wiped the floor with Intel. I bought a 5800X and it’s been a workhorse although I had to upgrade my BIOS with a 3000 series motherboard which is unusual apparently. Unless Intel have stopped rehashing the same old ageing architecture (which they may well have done, I’m out of touch), I would go AMD. They came back swinging a few years ago and it’s paid off. 
I still have a 1060GTX 6gig, going to upgrade to a 4070 (maybe even a TI soon) and water cool my rig.

it’s as simple as this. The CMA aren’t going to budge unless they’re ‘persuaded’ by UK government. We currently have some shady cunts in power and it’s highly possible it may happen but I very much doubt it will happen without some saving face concession (ie, MS offering lenient terms to Sony/Nintendo) if it happens at all. I really do not think at this point the CMA are going to allow MS to get the deal they wanted originally when it’s all wrapped up, if at all. It works a lot different here to in Murica.

Truth is Xbox doesn’t just need a better show than PlayStation, it needs an unbelievable show which will flip people buying habits (PlayStation over Xbox for the vast majority) on its head, and they just don’t have it in them. Phil basically said so himself in his public freak out after Redfall when he said something like Starfield won’t stop people buying PlayStations. Only buying the biggest publisher around may change things (not even with that according to some market analysis) and we all know how that’s going. 
 

on a personal note nothing in this show is going to make me buy an Xbox.

Wow these graphics and environments look fucking mental. When I was a kid, playing the original FF games for the first time, I used to picture what final fantasy would look like if the game had graphics like the cgi movies they would put in. Now I know, infact it looks much better.

They took Sony's deal... they'll probably take Epic Game Store's year exclusivity deal... and then by the time it hits Steam, nobody will give a shit anymore  

 

 

Being on Xbox is not going to dramatically help them, it has a much smaller user base that doesn’t seem to buy games anymore and they have to develop for two platforms, one of which cucks the other. 
 

I get the hate on some level but I also think there’s no way they could have made VII in its original form. The size of the game wouldn’t have worked logistically, among other things, and with that in mind they reimagined it rather than remade it, with a plot that lets them get around sticking points of a full original remake. I enjoyed it for taking it for what it was rather than holding it up against source material which it never had a chance of ever being on par with. 
 

Really hope the next game is as good as the first.
