  1. Notice how this faggot has not even tried to argue anything i said or justify why the game is "good"? Hey guys it's good, it's true. I suck the cock of Nintendo and enjoy it, he just says its not good because it's on 3DS, he wasted all that money on a 3DS and the collectors edition of KH and hyped it just so he can lie on an internet forum! That must be it! Kid just likes hop on bandwagons more than anyone i;ve ever seen. Phony ass faggot. Get the fawk out of my face.

I mean,m it's not like the game has awful level design with big empty enviornments that offer no incentive to explore them. A camera that poses problems by not giving you a good field of view of your surroundings and inable to see ledges you can reach. A moronic character switching mechanic that adds nothing to the game and arbitraily decides to switch characters on you even if you're in the middle of the boss battle.

A watered down decked system from birth by sleep that results in abilities remaining stagnant and unable to be leveld up complete with the removal of finishers - removing the strategy of deck building entirely.

A garbage forced Dive mini-game in between worlds that's worse the Gummi ships from KH1.

A monster collection system who are your party members and have to pet with the touch pad to fucking level up. Are you fucking kidding me? Likely aimed at the Nintnedogs faggots.

I think this excerpt from Metro GameCentral perfectly sums up my feelings:

"The problem with the latest Kingdom Hearts is not a lack of new ideas but that almost all of them are awful, and that's before you even consider the script."

I will say I love the music though, but every KH has great music.

  2. Kingdom Hearts 3D seriously has some of the stupidest, poorly thought out mechanics i've ever seen in a game. You play as 2 characters with their own focus. In any other game the game would be perfectly designed to incoporate them into a single storyline, shifting back and forth between intervals. Or in some other games the game would just have you chose at the start of the game which to play as. Here you play as both at the same time and you manually shift back and forth with no logic or reasoning as to why rather than just because you want to. It makes no sense because I'm noticing them referencing stuff about the other character that i haven't got to yet in their storyline. The worst part is the idiots thought it would be clever that if the game feels you've spent too much time playing one character's story, it'd automatically throw you into the other character, EVEN RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOSS BATTLE. And when you shift back you have to restart the entire boss battle. :| I wondered how Square could pump what 'looked' like a solid entry out so quick, when (good) KH's usually take years of development time. BBS took 5 years, KH3D only took 2. Now after playing it I'm starting to understand. The game is so fucking sloppy and half-baked

  3. ys origins got better the more i played. i think overall its on par with OiF.

but why is there a "to be continued" screen at the end of the credits? is there more to the story if you pick a different character? that would make sense given the mystery surrounding hugo.

Because you've only really seen the story from one prespective. You still have Hugo, then a 3rd mysterious character that unlocks after that which concludes the storyline.

Now you just need to play II and VII and you're caught up with all the imo great Ys titles that are must plays. Though II is very primitive today, i think its still a really good enjoyable game.

I got John Omaha to play Ys not too long ago and that nikka is a diehard fan now.

The music in the game fucking kicks ass doesn't it?

  4. Dayum the first few hours of Gungnir is crazy. The game opens up fairly standard with getting know some characters and their backstory setting up your party members and who you believe will be your supporting cast for the entire game. After a few hours you're all captued by the villain and tied up and they all have their heads chopped off (minus the main character). No melodrmatic scene and sappy music, straight up exectued and dumped in the river.

    Shit took me off guard.

    :lul: thats awesome

im about 2 hours into origin, so far i prefer OiF

    Why?

  6. Probably gonna cop Rainbow Moon now. Although Gungnir just came out and I wanna cop that too for my Vita.

Twinblade, make up my mind for me.

    :ben:

    :|

i think it depends on what mood you're in. Rainbow Moon is a mechanically simple game with very short battles. If sting's past games are any indication than gungnir is the exact opposite of that.

that's what I thought about RM when I saw videos. I also hear there's a shitload of grinding. I think I'll get Gungnir and complete the series. With every new game the gameplay becomes more complex, and the story gets worse. It's really weird. Riviera will always remain the GOAT.
  7. Xenosaga Ep. 2.

Fuck me, the combat in this game is so slow. A standard battle can take upwards of five minutes to get through. :|

I think I might just youtube the rest of this game and jump straight to Ep. 3.

    lmfao

Around the last 3rd of the game encounters are the length of boss battles that can take 15mins. I shit you not.

I like 2 a little bit more than one. One takes too long to get going, establishing the characters, settings, terminology and motives. Episode 2 expects the player to know those things already so its a lot more better paced. Its also a lot more polished then one and you can notice the severe increase in production values. But ai dios mio the length of some of those battles makes you want to stop and take an intermission.

3 pretty much slaughters both a million times over at EVERYTHING.

  8. 5 awesome hours though. I remember being hooked and finishing it in like 2 sessions which i rarely ever do with any game no matter how short it is. I don't understand why the hell there even is a Max Payne 3. There was really nothing more you can do with Max Payne the character that they didn't already do with 2. Shit isn't even noir anymore.

  9. I really only like UC2 and Golden Abyss. UC3's awful aiming killed the game for me that by the time they finally relased the patch i didn't give a shit anymore to even play it. What an epic fuck up. The fact that they even tried to sweep it under the rug as them not noticing any difference is fucking disgusting. Fuck them.

you finish binary domain yet? :wonder:

PoC ruined my experieince with that game.
  10. had some time this weekend,

    - Played the first episode of the walking dead game, it was ok, nothing extraordinary but its worth the $5 imo. the graphics are kinda shitty.

    - Started played Yggdra Union for PSP, so far I like it a lot. usually it takes me a bit to get going with Tactical RPGs but this one was different, very easy to pick up and go. then again its Sting <3

    - Continued my long and ardous travels un Amalur, wtf happened to this game? so much potential

    - Started Binary Domain, I like it more than what i expected. the shooting feels great imo, and the look of the game is interesting in a way it feels like an arcade game, something closer to Outrigger than Gears.

Great game. It really still has the best gameplay of all of Sting's games thus far. I still like Riviera more though
