10 years ago I would have been so hyped. The first one came out on PSP and was amazing, then xseed totally botched the momentum by saying the 2nd in the series shouldn’t be expected any time soon and literally took years for them to finally localize. Shame. Though it seems they’ve gotten a lot better with localizing them these days. Thinking about it, it’s crazy how many series have gotten so big after their releases on PSP were so niche and obscure that only I and smoothhands used to care about here. Trails, Ys, Danganronoa to name a few

This is like someone you knew and worked with who was fired from a corporate job earning 6 figures with bonuses, and then seeing them years later working at a gas station. Melty blood has always been trash. It only gained recognition because it was a PC exclusive fighting franchise and all the best fighting games were on consoles. Square accidentally posted a new trailer on their twitter today and this is at the end. (july 27 is the release date of the full game) They delted the trailer pretty fast from their twitter but i definitely saw it. They have an event in 6 hours so i'm guessing then is when they'll ofciailly show the trailer and announce the demo

Honestly I was scratching my head at all the praise the film got and I felt like I seriously just missed something major in the film. And now I read there’s a 3rd in development. Wtf? Theres more story than metroid prime, but it's not very narrative driven. The premise is intriguing and i found the story satisfying though it remains mostly cryptic till the end. But ike is right, mechanically it is hands down the best 3rd person shooter with fantastic use of the dual sense

That’s literally SMT. The world has been destroyed and humanity is just about extinct with demonic monsters overrunning the world. 4 just used the lazy generic jrpg template while having absolutely no idea what the series is known for and what people loved. It’s like if Persona 6 is some fantasy medievel save the world action rpg with mountain villages

I still think the game will be great though and will def buy it

So is this a new strategy? Set the bar low with a sequel ( smt4) so that the next sequel that plays and looks exactly like a game 2 iterations ago I’s seen as a huge improvement? Literally nothing visually or gameplay looks new or unique and the character design looks like trash

Lawd wait till biome 3 On paper Returnal seems like a game I wouldn’t have liked. It’s very risky to make a game where when you pick up the controller the user has to invest about an hour at least to attempt to make any kind of progress. But what they created is so damn fun and well designed I never feel bored at any moment I’m actually playing it even if I have to restart. I honestly think it’s the best 3rd person shooter ever. It’s simply on another level to every other 3ps out there.
