Resonance of fates combat never was complex. I don’t know why anyone ever thought that. Maybe they just expected DQ gameplay. I personally thought it was a fantastic game with great characters, the steampunk setting was cool and it was made by the people who made Valkyrie profile 2 which is another favorite of mine. I never heard of that shining force gane and it’s for the best. That series is dead. The first 2 are some of my all time greats but everything after that
