Crisis core was decent. At first it’s kinda blah but once you got better materia it became more fun towards the 2nd half. There’s 2 types of fans: those who care about the story, and those who don’t. you fall in the former. I care a bit but for the most part, I just enjoy the gameplay, the characters and Disney worlds. The stories in each world are entertaining and fun to watch the Disney and ff characters interact,but the overall narrative with org xiii I didn’t know or care what was going on. Seeing something like roxas with his friends was boring to me. Playing with sora in the tron world or the steamboat willie worlds, now that’s fun.

Pretty sure the 2nd is the most well regarded at least from my experience. Personally, the 4th was my fav but thats kinda the outlier. I just didn’t like how damage spongey some of the bosses could be

That’s the problem with remakes the scale of ffvii. It just takes time away from the main games. Vii was fine and it craved that itch But I’d rather had just have had a new game regardless of how it turned out. While it’s not xvi, it clearly was treated as such by square with the budget and staffing I’m sure. Now we have to wait another several years for 16 to finally materialize. as for expectations, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Their track record has been a 9/10 for me going by the past 15 years. XII was amazing, XIiI was pretty average, but xiii-2 was fantastic. Xiii

Great choice. God of war is one of the best examples of how to completely reinvent a franchise. When you finally get the blades of chaos was also hype af. Sony was honestly on a damn role there for awhile with horizon, god of war, Spider-Man and Detroit, bloodborne, uncharted 4, The Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 2. The only non AAAe was Detroit
