Messing around a bit with Splinter Cell in between Dark Souls and man, this game takes itself far too seriously it's at its detriment IMO. Could be that I just finished SRIV but yeah. Also, playing games side by side to the Souls games isn't the best idea.

Finished SRIV, the climax wasn't as good as it was in SR3 IMO but it was still a blast. The ending before the credits was great tho.

SR3 has a rough first few hours since they force you to do the side missions. The main story line is a blast to play through though. It's definitely a "more fun than it is good" type of game.

Are the side quests (with the exception of Loyalty) missions worth sticking with? Ive done all of them up to Shaundi so far but doing the same few tasks for another 3+ characters seems like a bummer but the little voiced bits I like ;(

CT is only like 20 hours. It's short enough where the combat doesn't get too monotonous. But I enjoyed it so who knows. iirc kill yourself.

The DS version is the best one. Has the cutscenes without the awful load times of the PS one.

It's not just the JPOP it's everything outside of the combat and I don't even like that. Shitty characters, boring plot, laughable text, awful art design, blah blah blah.
